Could Someone please explain?

First off, Hi All, I hope all are well.

I havent been on here for a while, i last posted some time in the summer.

I like most people have heard alot about there being no more after hours in ibiza/ibiza is dead etc. As i dont really go to many clubs in the day with the exception of the Space Terrace on a sunday i dont see the need. But i do enjoy lying on beach drinking San Miguel while Bora Bora plays some nice, but no to serious house music(with the exception of the rubbish and the way the beach is treated by everyone, its perfect) I keep hearing alot of this is the end for Bora Bora and DC10, but surely as the ban is only until 12pm Bora Bora will be able to play its music as normal after this time, am i correct in thinking this? Ive never saw Bora Bora busy until after 2pm anyway.

Please could some clarify if im correct or incorrect with this one?

p.s (This is will help clear an on going debate between many people i know.)

6 hours and I'm f**ked!!!!!

Am one of those that thinks the 6am Big Brother 'curfew' isn't all that tuff.. start at 11pm and I've had enuf (ready for bed) by 6am. Maybe I'm one of the 'dumbed down' with short attention spans the Press and advertisers complain about?

So you want to party longer, simple, start partying earlier! You wanna party 24hrs then you're probably nuts enuf to spend the 6hr curfew on the beach or at a Villa making your own party as you're possibly on a different planet anyway!!

I just hope the negative vibes the politicians are giving out end here and aren't the thin end of the wedge like the 'insidious creep' on smoking our politicians undertook to remove our personal rights.

Ibiza 2008 . . party on . . with a little siesta!

Closing v Opening

Well regarding the clubs business acumen Pacha have expanded worldwide and I saw El Divino are opening no less than 80 clubs in China so whilst this discussion may centre on Ibiza it's far from bad news.

Regarding political interference at DC10 and the authorities limiting bar numbers and restricting expansion because they're apparently in an 'ecological area' there's nothing stopping DC10 also moving sticks if they want to expand fruther.

If the interfering nannies in Ibiza keep squeezing the clubs they'll take their brands elsewhere and clubbers will very likely followto where the action is. How about Amsterdam with its fantastically liberal culture.. the Dutch sure have enough DJ's to keep the music pumping.

If the major wants to build more golf courses can I advise him he'll require 20x more land than club takes up and it'll take 1,000 times less revenue per square foot than a club. These political idiots should do the maths!

today the five mayors of the island and the president of the consell insular had a reunion in which, among other things, they spoke about creating a new department in the consell insular dedicated exclusively to the music (consell de la musica) similar to the ones dedicated to education, economy, sport, etc :!:

according to xico tarres, it would be the way to unify criteria between the five municipalities to regulate ibiza's nightlife and to improve the relations between the club/bar owners and the institutions. all the details tomorrow on diario de ibiza, ultima hora and el mundo.....

 mayors with the music "made in ibiza"
"the mayors decided to create the consell de la musica, an organism oriented to take advantage of the leadership of the island in the world of dance music as a promotional element. this decission means a recognition to the work of the club/bar owners, who have been asking for years for a bigger support to the institutions. with the consell de la musica the authorities plan to approach positions with them and coordinate strategic promotions, like organizing events or taking part in related fairs. its mission will be also to regulate the music activities to avoid situations like the ones happening till recently, like the absence of a norm about opening hours clear and common for all the municipalities"

 the town halls will unify the opening hours of the clubs to fight the afters
"the consell hopes that the music sector will integrate in the new consell de la musica which, according to tarres, could celebrate its first meeting in one month"

if you read it correctly you will see that only ibiza town wants all music bars closed from 6am to 6pm..... dont mix things up ! !

... saw El Divino are opening
no less than 80 clubs in China ...
hahaha ... this number is ridiculous ...
why not opening 800 or 8000 "clubs in china" :-)

2 years ago they opened 1 (in words: one) el divino in germany
and this thing wasn´t able to survive more than a few months ...

if you read it correctly you will see that only ibiza town wants all music bars closed from 6am to 6pm..... dont mix things up ! !

this is why you get 50,000 websites all repeating junk ;)

how many people now think that ibiza has basically shut down clubbing on ibiza ? - given the articles i would say loads

the consell needs to sort their pr dept out ;)

continuing with the consell de la musica.....

 the clubs see as a big step ahead the regulation and promotion of the sector along with the institutions
pepe rosello: "for the first time seems like the institutions start to understand how important music is for ibiza as a tourist destination"
martin ferrer: "it is very positive. it was about time they realized music is a value"

btw, today theres a meeting in the consell insular with all the club owners and mayors to talk about the creation of the consell de la musica.....
