Mosquito bites

I’m glad it seems to have worked for you as mozzie bites are just a pain! I must admit I’ve wondered if they’ve gone off me too but I think I’d rather wear the band now than chance it 😂
Yeah I’ll take one every time now. £7 isn’t a bank breaker.

To put it the other way around…

If I woke up one morning on holiday with the classic swollen itchy bites all over me…

…and then someone said give me £7 to take away all the pain….

..I’d pay them straight up. 😄

My husband ordered a few of the wristbands which @fhmsparkle recommend to arrive whilst we were back in the UK last week.

So far, I'm impressed! 4 days back in Ibiza, living in the countryside, and not a single bite. Usually by now, I would have several itchy bites, especially having been at Pikes the last two evenings.

I'd definitely recommend and they aren't intrusive or uncomfortable.

I went to a pharmacy in Ibiza and asked for the strongest spray with deet, and bought one for around 10e. Wish I'd remembered the name, throughout the week I got just two bites of any note, one was on the back of my knee where I'd probably missed!

The issue with the stronger sprays is that they almost always contain DEET which isn’t that good for you.

From someone who reacts very badly, take vitamin B1 tablets, one a day for a week then everyday during your holidays and you should be ok. If you do get bitten use hydrocortisone cream and this reduces the swelling and itching at the same time. I learnt this from a pharmacist in Thailand 👌🏻

After getting 4 bites from the mozzie that made it in to my living room I invested in one of those plug things that heat up the scent mozzies hate. A combination of that and the cheaper bracelets I bought back for the Ibiza trip seems to have saved me from any more 👍

Not much success for me with them unfortunately, I must be just too tasty…

Still have the scars from the little cnuts back at the end of July
Hoping they work for me, I’m allergic to the bite and the swelling is nasty, especially any bites on my legs. I don’t really care enough at the time to put repellant on

Mosquito bite count from yesterdays dog walks: 7.

I am thoroughly miserable. Really need to remember to wear my bands!
