Landmark Hotel Knocked Down. In a week that saw the start of the old bull ring in Ibiza Town being knocked down to make way for a park, the famous International hotel located at the Jesus junction on the Ibiza to Santa Eulària road was also knocked down. Known more commonly to our readers as the Man U Mission Motel, this building was the scene of many fantastic parties but is now being knocked down to make way for a new multilevel road junction on the new outer ring road motorway being built around Ibiza Town.

Its kind of set out as a day in the life of Manumission. It starts off at the beach, with lots of naked people rolling about the sand, then shows you some parades, then goes to Privilege, where it shows you ‘the best of’ the sex shows and interviews a lot of the entertainers. Then it goes to Space and shows you lots of wasted people. It then goes to the beach again and shows you Mike and Claire having sex in the sea.
if someone is interested in the infamous video:

HOTEL, MOTEL, HOLIDAY SIN: The Manumission Motel is no more, the notorious out-of-town ‘pink pussy motel’ that was, for a few short seasons, the most outrageous entertainment establishment on the island has been demolished. The building – originally, and latterly, a brothel – was converted into use as part of the Manumission operations base in 1998. It was used as a base at which Mike and Claire – the public faces of the organisation - could locate themselves and keep a massive bedroom. It was further utilised as accommodation for their full-time entertainment girl troupe, many of whom also acted as pole dancers in the ground floor bar 8) . And it was intended to become cost-effective hotel accommodation for Manumissions guest DJ’s and assorted VIP visitors. There were only 14 rooms though, each containing a large water bed, with numerous stories of important DJ guests not wanting to be housed in the Motel (initially there were no locks on the doors and Carl Cox reputedly refused point blank to stay). A fellow (female) journalist described the nightmare of staying there just one night in the 2000 season, with all kinds of strangers barging into her room, expecting instantaneous casual sex play. She eventually barricaded herself in, unable to relax or sleep... As well as the pole dancing bar downstairs, a remarkable wooden ‘shanty town’ bar space was constructed up on the roof, filled will private cabins and relaxation spaces. It looked like something that would instantly go up in flames if ever anyone dropped a cigarette by accident, but in the event, no major disasters occurred. During its heyday at the turn of the century it wasn’t unusual to discover that Mike and Clare – stars of the Manumission main show over at Privilege – still partying at the Motel beyond 5am. It was wild, freaky, debauched and fun… a place where a number of well-known DJs completely lost the plot (and much of their careers) . Most famously Lisa I’Anson missed her live BBC Radio One Weekend broadcast – having reputedly been ‘spiked’ at the Motel – and was promptly sacked by the BBC. Also, though much of it was manufactured Mixmag / Muzik magazine publishing hype, Derek Dahlarge really did appear to get lost in the place, more or less refusing to leave, cancelling most of his subsequent gigs and, partly as a consequence, saw his DJ career plummet. In latter years, as Manu departed, the establishment deteriorated into a live porn-internet-chat-room type centre and quickly faded from public consciousness.
