S/A/M plays there every Sunday. Food looks amazing but we just sat on the beach to hear the music as it was full and we didn’t have a reservation. The sea water was so warm and clear though.

think we'll do the same on Sept 5th if she's playing then. Not met her before but it is six degrees of separation because she knows a load of people I know!

just something I wanted to pick up on. seeing loads of comments along lines of

"it's not the same without the clubbing"
"you could be anywhere now"

whereas I take the total opposite view

I understand the clubbing is the driver of most of your visits, creating inevitable frustration which I totally get, (frustrating for me too on my parallel musical trip) but I'd also argue that 90% of the clubbing on offer you can actually find at festivals anywhere now, a growing trend in recent years as the global branded clubbing market has homogenised and centred around an agency roster of the same names. Not for me but that's another thread.

Whereas the actual island itself though is - and always is - genuinely unique. the natural beauty, calas, pueblos, chiringuitos, dusty dirt tracks, even the crickets, for me differ wildly from my experiences of the mainland (even when there are superficial similarities), whilst most of the 'characters' I met in 2019 were at cafes in SE or on the beach at Salines (a million miles from identikit tech bros in quiffs and matching tshirts). I can't believe they have all just vanished, although I will report back in a couple of weeks with my own notes.

So by all means boycott if the clubs mean everything but you're missing out on a whole load of evergreen charm.

tirapalla or the new montesol rooftop bar for rooftop vibes
any of the bars around plaza de parque for good value drinks
base bar or 1235 for fancy cocktails with view to the port and yachts (they are on the frontline)
paradise lost for good music & drinks

Due to the 1am curfew, it was nice to see Plaza de Parque so buzzy with locals much earlier in the evening. We tended to gravitate to Madagascar there.

Returned home on Monday after 16 days in Ibiza (we kept extending!) and I honestly believe it was one of our favourite trips to the island - think it was trip 18!

Despite the clubs not being open, there is still a magical feeling and amazing vibe on the island. Also plenty of legal, free parties if you do a bit of research.

We saw Fatboy Slim, Roisin Murphy, Theo Kottis, Jon Sa Trinxa (for probably his last Ibiza set this summer), Alfredo plus lots of other excellent, Ibiza-based DJs - S/A/M, DJ Dribbler, Andy Wilson, Jo Mils, The Brothers Grim… Ibiza has so many excellent local DJs - often better than the big names.

We managed to get into all the restaurants we wanted to. At worst, we booked the day before - not weeks before. Even places like Bambuddha (which we ended up not going to) had on the day availability. Same with beaches. The only negative was the car hire issues & taxis but we were on the fence about hiring a car anyway (considering it’s August and busy) and the taxi situation improved.

I found people to be really friendly and positive this year. We chatted to more people than before (sober chats!) and it was nice to see an older crowd on the island. Less posers too!

It felt like the Ibiza of old at times and I’m very glad we went.
Hi . Were people allowed to dance in those places ?

I think i said it earlier in this thread, but I can't see how I can travel abroad while there's still a realistic (albeit) small threat of getting stuck in another country for 10 days. That would not go down well with my employer, as it stands. I'm sure it must be in the back of other people's minds too! That may well also stop me next year. :( Otherwise I can't wait to return.
This for me too

It has been on my mind too - but depending on your contract if this were to happen you would want to be paid for being off 'sick'... That is how it would be put down because if you came home and had covid you'd be off sick anyhow!

However of course it isn't glamorous being locked away in a hotel room

I am ensuring though I have insurance that covers covid too and just hoping that I don't in fact catch anything! (I am double vaxxed now)

If I caught covid in the UK and wasn't too ill, I'd be able to work from home.

Yesterday once more
From an IG story from a hot UK obeach worker girl , People were dancing close to Marco Carola dj booth , she even succeed to get in Marco 's booth..was wondering how much is the table she were just under dj booth 🤔 (Can't wait to see Marco Carola at an ibz price (40-60€ quiet pricey for a Parisian party ) in 2 weeks 🏴‍☠️ ☠️🏴‍☠️)

Bora bora looks alive with keep on dancing event including richy Ahmed...

ps:seeing some private villa parties from french contacts djs , looks like some people can't deal anymore with the No dancing policy rule and broke some laws 😁

Only hot 20's chicks can go for free to ushuaia the vip way 😬

René,the famous mustache owner of Croissant show will be on retirement at the end of this year following his last IG post, business doesnt seems good 🤔 otherwise he will carry on.

Not a good sign for ibz the side effects of the pandemic crisis and Ibiza turning into VIP and pricey from what i saw on my feeds
if they wait too long to get the nightlife back , lot of business will shut and lot of people will look for other destinations for the party vibe.
Give the nightlife/music BACK!!!

Ashram sunset bar seems lively friday saturday from a french mate in ibz this summer (he didnt went last year)

i 've tried to convince some mates in ibz to go to cova Santa last weeks, but they didnt went , im sure they were waiting for chauffeur 😁 as last summer they pay the expensive STK dinner i decline (250€) so they could do Cova Santa that is among lively places with Ushuaia....

ps:this week i bought 6€ 5x12l water on discount and i had a flashback of the water i paid in clubs , 6€ dc10, amnesia pack 5 vouchers, 14€ ushuaia/Hï 50cl, not sure i can deal with this (price x 180 ), even i got a raise of x k€ this year that save me 2/3 ibz trips

His name is André. Not sure it has to do with his business not doing well.

I heard , its well frequented. Not less than in a normal year. Is it true ? Last year it was not good.
Like most bars and restaurants in Ibiza Town right now, super busy. I've not been, but it's hard to imagine somewhere as popular as Croissant Show having a bad summer right now
