If not Ibiza, where will you holiday in 2009?

Many people have been 'disappointed' - for want of a better word - with Ibiza this year. Personally, I had some amazing highs and the funnest nights, coupled with some very average nights, but I still adore the sun and sea and vibe and crazy people so like to think I'll be back next year.

Where else are the great partying places, especially in Europe? I've travelled around Europe quite a bit, but not to party, and looking forward to checking out other clubs and scenes in the winter and then into 2009.

Let's hear where you'll be going, and your favourite places to party outside of Ibiza.

Your talking crazy. Ibiza is pretty much definate for late July next year for two weeks for me. Other than that, partying wise...

Berlin, have HAD to go there for a few years now and finally gonna go. Gonna do Dublin too, not really for partying but that'll be good, just so I can meat Jonny68 really.

Definitely heading back to Ibiza next year 8)
Just got back and had a blast. Might adjust the timing though because I like it a bit warmer.

Hoping to start the year in Brazil. Probably doing the Exit Festival and Montenegro again.

Other destinations t.b.d....

Dying to go to Romania, was meant to be going at the start of May, but not sure thats gonna happen now cause my mates having a stag in Amsterdam in February.

Going to San Francisco in 10 days for 19 days to see my brother.

Will probably be over in Ibiza late September, early October.

Dying to check out Lithuania too, Vilnius looks like it has a good scene. Will probably have to wait till 2010 for that though. 2010 I wanna go to Sonar if its still on the go, more for all the wee parties in Barcelona. And I need to do a couple of weekends in Berlin as well at some point.

Yo John think we'll be doing Exit again too but getting an apartment somehow this time.
Will definately be doing Berlin for about 4 days or so and considering Croatia tho need to look into it. May well do a 1 week cheap trip to Ibiza if dc10's open next year but otherwise not so sure

Fcuk knows what ill be doing next year but im hearing some really good reports about Bulgaria, dirt cheap, someone i know where there for 2 weeks this year and spent no more than €1,000 in that time and went out every nite for a meal/pub/clubs, weather was lovely as well, granted the clubs wouldn't be as good as Ibiza bit seriously cheaper but seen as it's so cheap and still not massively over commercialised sounds good to me.

Mykonos anyone?

Maybe...or Bali but the f*&%ing cost of the air is insane depsite how cheap it is there. Ahhh... Bali in August....Jim Breese on decks....the White Party...KuDeTa...

Darn it...it will just have to be Ibiza.:p

Cape Town, Bazaruto Island (Mozambique) and Lake Malawi

(And Ibiza - but that's a given)

Even though Ibiza has changed during last 3-4 yeasrs, no place is like the White Isle (for what concerning parties and club scene) and I will come back September 2009 for 3 weeks.

Anyway, my planning for next months shall be very intense: November in Bologna for Epica live show, late March back in Egypt for visiting Cairo and Giza Plan, in May Amsterdam (hoping to hit Sensation too...). If I save enough money it should be nice visiting Scotland too (Edinbourgh or Glasgow or both...).

January - 2 and 1/2 weeks in Thailand

May - 1 week in Turkey (not somewhere where I would have ever thought of going but my best friend and her husband have recently bought a villa over there so we're going for a week with them)

August - The Big Chill :lol::lol:

September - either Ibiza or I quite fancy Croatia if we decide to take a year off from Ibiza

End of the year - Argentina and somewhere else in S America

Lydd-on-sea

Probably go back to Calafell for a week in June to take the kids again as safe and nice beach etc but will be heading Ibiza September for a long weekend

Will no doubt be going to Barcelona for a game too and also fancy Rome, Venice or Florence for some romancing with my schnoozeepoos!!!

Definitely want a week in Ibiza to show the bf what its all about

Then 2 weeks in LA/Vegas - I am dying to go to the states and I know for sure if I dont do it next year I never will and it will be one thing I look back on and feel regret about

Yay lets starting thinking about holidays in 2009 woohoo! Mine should go something like this:

Jan - Barcelona

March - Ireland

June - hopefully a girly weekend to either Ayia Napa or Marbella

July - Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia (for Exit festival)

August - Ibiza

Also, our best friends are leaving to travel Europe in March for six months, so we'll definately be having a few impromptu weekends in Europe. I quite fancy Poland, Austria and Switzerland.

Actually, I better start looking at my annual leave allowance

July & / or Sept: Ibiza, was unable to get a fix this year due to Shelley having a bun in t' oven.

Had a grand weekend in Vilnius a few years back. The old town is lovely and we had a couple of very good nights out including an outdoor nightclub up on a hill overlooking the city.

Hey mate. As discussed in Ibiza, definitely looking to go back this year. Think we'll stick with the hotel too as camping seemed quite an adventure! Hope the dust settles down this time

I definitely need to make it to SE Asia next year.
Argentina is lovely... although one of the highlights is the steak, which you don't eat! I want to go back sometime and make it up to the waterfalls in the north and the Antarctic area down south.
