Ibiza too expensive

Very true. If they are still turning up in their thousands to FMIF even though it is 60-70 on the door most weeks then what reason has Pacha got to drop the prices.

Overall on the whole I am happy with the rest of the clubs prices this year. 10 Euro for Be @ Space, and 20 Euro for Meganite @ Priv are very reasonable.

And they have had great lineups and the music is usually great! But are there enough clubbers to go round? Have those nights u mentioned been busy because even though you paid very reasonable prices i was offered a free entrance pass to both those nights whilst i was there!!! (admittidly it was around midnight)???

At the end of the day only time will tell if the clubs have got there pricing policy correct. Its my view that next year, from a clubbers point of view, there wont be anywhere near as many "ravers" on the island!! (could be a good thing i suppose)

I got an invitation pass for 10 euro entry before midnight for Be @ Space (They were selling tickets that night for 40 euro in the bars).

Yes they had amazing lineups and no they weren't busy but I didn't worry too much.

I went to Cocoon on Monday and it was horribly overcrowded, no space to dance or even go to the toilet.

You can't help but think when in environments like that what would happen if a fire broke out.

That pissed me off a lot more than a half empty club did.

when i went to ibiza in june, the eden club was so caring to us clubbers that through their air conditioning system they pumped out loads of hot air all evening to keep us warm!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorri puppylover but it isnt horse**** as you put it at all. The reason they dont want the brits from San An coming is they dont spend anywhere near as much in the clubs as the people from other parts of the Island (San Juan, Ibiza Town etc) I know that is a blatant generalisation but that is exactley what the club owner(s) of Pacha believe.

Im not saying everyone who holidays in San an (like me) are all alike but you get my drift that the ViP lounge and the people buying the expensive rounds of drinks in there arent usually the Brits or the people holidaying in San An! Now U mentioned that they dont care as long as the club is full, well if you read my post the reason it was 63 euros per ticket (80 on the door) is because it was so busy in previous weeks hence the need for making sure the people who are paying will no doubt be able to afford the drinks when they are inside and that is where clubs like Pacha etc make there money.

I dont want to be one of these people who say i know this because etc, but it was a promoter who told me this, and this promoter was born and bred in Ibiza!!!

Pacha is a different animal in the way and it wants to be percieved when compared to somewhere like space.

Mate, it is bull****. Utter bull****.

Pacha has no qualms on where their clientele come from. Its not different prices in different places. You're being paranoid there.

To say that they generalise against San An because of the British contingent is laughable. Danny Whittle is the brand manager for pacha for goodness sake. You think he'd tell his staff to avoid getting people in from San Antonio?

The truth is San An is the biggest hub on the island, and a place where all the clubs really push to get sales. Thats why they are running countless pre-parties in countless bars.

Ibiza is expensive, it always has been, it was a ****ing fortune the first time i went in 1998. It still is now. Club entry prices are proportionate to supply and demand. If lots of people want to go to F*** me im famous, then Pacha would be stupid not to put the price up. Its basic economics. Just because a section of the people the sell to think its too expensive means, basically, nothing at all.

People always compain about the prices there, and rightly so... the thing is it will get you nowhere. To blame the clubs for the situation is pointless. They are there to make money, pure and simple. They're not there to give you a good time and make a loss.

The argument about dropping prices is also ludicrous. If you were the manager of pacha, and theres a 3 deep posse at every bar, why on earth would you halve your income? Pacha is a brand. An upmarket brand. With that brand comes expensive tastes. Expensive tastes means expensive drinks.

If you want cheap drinks, go out in the west end. If you dont wanna pay the prices, your option is there!

I dont LIKE the prices they charge us, but then when im in ibiza i have an amazing time and when im home im looking forward to going back for the rest of the year. When i think back at nights out in ibiza i can tell you one thing for sure... The price of my drinks is the last thing on my mind

Where do you find tickets for Be for 10 euros?

If you look around the bars for little green flyers for Be @ Space. These are Invitation passes and allow you entry for 10 Euro before midnight.
I got mine in the Pussycat bar in San An town.

When i think back at nights out in ibiza i can tell you one thing for sure... The price of my drinks is the last thing on my mind

EXACTLY! No ones forcing us to pay the money.

To all those who moan about being ripped off: don't go- simple as.
But try finding the same kind of clubbing experience elsewhere- not so simple.

We wouldn't keep going back year after year if the clubs were sh1t would we?

Well I do like the prices they charge us. Actually I would have preferred if prices on nights like WLS, Cocoon, Cream and most Pacha nights had a higher door price. That would make fewer people come, those who'd been there would have more space and a better experience. It would also be better for the clubs in total as more people had gone to the nights at other clubs that were slightly less popular.

A-F*****g-Men

Thank you...... 8)

I was wandering if anyone has a list of the tickets prices over the last 6-7 years to see how much they have gone up by? Ive been coming to Ibiza every year since 2000 but i cant for the life of me remember what the ticket prices have been like!!???
Dunno what the prices were when I first went the currency was in pesetas - and its seemed a hell of a lot dealing in 100's and 100's of pes

After the € kicked in I think we were paying around 25€ maybe less for Space, similar for pacha, Eden was around 15€

but to be honest - I was too busy enjoying the clubs and the music to take a note of the costs of entrance fees.

I work with the premise "I'm in Ibiza, its going to cost me hugely for this fun financially, physically and mentally"....

So you'd be happy paying 80 Euro a club just so you'd have more space to move ?? 8O

That wouldn't work I'm afraid it would just put Cream and Cocoon into the same status as FMIF and furthermore segregate the type of people who attend these nights. ie. The richer clubber going to the aforementioned and the poorer clubber going to the smaller nights.

:lol::lol::lol::lol: actually, so would I....:lol::lol::lol::lol: I love having space to throw shapes....

Well ive come to the conclusion that im perhaps getting a bit long in the tooth and puppylover is prob right in that for the last 5-6 years i too wasnt arsed about what i was paying!!!

Maybe its time for a change next year! 10 times to Ibiza has took its toll! hahahaha

And as Puppylover says, its took its toll financially, mentally and Physically!!!

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

25 for monza 25 for goa 20 for mega nite and 50 for cocoon which has always been the case thought the club prices were ok .as for the drinks well...............but we have heard it all before so im not going to even start complaining

Defo a lot of good deals for the smaller nights, but who said the bigger ones were better anyway? I'd much rather go to Be @ Space or GOA than somewhere cheesy like FMIF and Pure Pacha and pay over the odds.

I think if you were strapped for cash you could skip the big ones and still go to a lot of club nights.

urgh Dont!!! the 20 mins there, just to say I had been in was just awful......:?:?

Man, i´ve been here a couple of times to meet someone and it has been the worst moments of my life !

Cheesy as Edam music, with the dj talking over pretty much all the way through. All the guys ogling and staring at the girls, while the girls get up on stage and enjoy all the attention ! Not to mention the smell that hits you when you walk in lol.

Saying that ... it´s probably the busiest bar in San Antonio so they must be doing something right !

As a friend of mine said recently ...

Clubland one of the busiest nights in Ibiza, Linekers one of the busiest bars ... with Living TV going around filming and acting like Celebrities ... what´s happening to Ibiza lol ?

Never dared to venture in there.. 8O:)

To be fair think you would have to be a loon to spend €63 to want to see Guetta anyways, but thats a personal choice :) Went to Def Mix on pacha last saturday (€42) and wasnt over impressed with the crowd. Got into BE @ Space for free B4 11 though. Manumission for €40, Welove for €50 Armarda for €35 euro including a free drink in Amnesia. So overall Club prices were not to bad,
The trick is not to drink in the clubs because unless you are minted it is a quick wasy to blow the budget in one night!
