Hmm I don’t know. At the time he was doing promotions for Amnesia and shepherding the gogo dancers on their nightly jaunts through the port. Was near the end of his Ibiza tenure at that point, I lost track of him in 2003.

Just this week we've had -
Eats Everything no show at Cocoon (admittedly due to EasyJet cancelling his flight)
No Cassie at Abode
Artikal swapped for Ellie Cocks at Abode
Latmun swapped for Franky Rizardo at Elrow

None of them have really effected our nights as the replacement programming is good, but it doesn't look great when the posters around San Antonio have different lineups to the event and some people may have planned around seeing particular artists (happened to us a few years back at Sankeys and we were not too happy about it).

I regret to inform you that Amnesia Ibiza has not met the terms of our contract for my performance this Friday at Vgbdos and the show has been cancelled. Unfortunately, the club's actions hurt not only myself but also you, my loyal fans. I hope to be able to make it up to you in another venue soon!
 
Shame, one of the true greats. He’s not usually too tricky a customer from the little I know.

Is this down to Amnesia or Vagabundos? I would assume the promoter has made the booking and not the venue?
 
I remember Derrick May cancelling Toronto in 2017. But I feel something fishy is going on with Amnesia with this one

This is what I heard.. after the party is over and everyone is gone except the owner and son..so the deal is for the DJ to get paid he has 3 minutes to search the 1 wall he has chosen and fckn go at that like a mad man.. a balearic supermarket sweep you could say..us fools thinking it's renovations being done when it could be Sven and Ricardo going to town on the place..

What sort of cost to you was that? Was he already in Europe at the time, did you fly him in specifically or did you share travel costs with another promoter? We looked at Kevin Saunderson a good decade and more ago but he was quite the opposite to your experience and put us off American bookings due to the red tape and general awkwardness of the whole experience
