DNS and Abode? I can only assume it is in 1 room surely ? Wonder if Steve Lawler might be involved too as he has been doing a lot of shows with Darius recently.

Interesting this. I think Abode may have more pull that we think this year. They have had some pretty big events the last tear, and a few big ones coming up in the UK. They have a ready-made British Thursday crowd, and this probably does reflect more where the kids are as opposed to Cream. This really is the changing of the guard...

I know how big abode is in the uk. but remember how strong fuse's following is in london and what the actual turn out was here on the island for them? it's just a different ball game alltogether here.

but hey, as I said, time will tell.

when i think of nights struggling - can't help but remember the Sasha in one room / Steve Lawler in the other at Space
IIRC that flopped big time
which given the two names involved, you wouldn't think it would
 
thursdays at amnesia will be THE san an workers party, with loooots of guest list. so numbers wise it will be good, but bar takings not so much :)

As much as I'm not a fan of Cream - I do respect the fact that it offered something different and to replace it with Abode and DNS for me is very poor. BUT I have no doubt that will do far greater numbers than Cream would have done.

I can’t see Do not sleep or Abode filling out amnesia rooms.

Sankeys I imagine it may of worked. Smaller rooms with a heavily UK crowd the terrace and main room of amnesia are big spaces to fill. If afterlife has moved to Hi would Vista not of been a better option for them??

Yeah, that was my original chain of thought. But doing that with Sankeys is one thing - doing that in 2 rooms at Amnesia - that is another thing.

To be fair, although Fuse is reasonably big in London it has generally only been in small-ish venues.

Abode are filling 2000 capacity club every month in London, with a couple of appearances at Tobacco Docks a year (4500 capacity) topped with their own festival in London, and now branching out to a weekend in Malta.

They do a *lot* for charity too so fair play to them, hope it works out.

Sankeys must really be off the boil as that was the perfect venue for Abode

fair enough, but it's still not the same if we're talking a weekly thing here in a massive club with lots of other stuff going on the same night plus other enticing parties at the same venue in the same week.

don't get me wrong, I hope it works out well, but I just don't think the success of a party in the UK is a guarantee for a full club on a weekly basis here with the competition and everything.

Oh yeah 100%, I think Amnesia is way to big for it. Even in 1 room (either) still a massive feat. Cream were still putting reasonably big names on and only just about managed OK from what I can work out. Abode have always relied on residents and a few astute bookings
 
so in theory with cream leaving, armin is the only weekly trance night (if you still thinks he falls into that genre)mmm. We might see PVD as guest, aly and fila is a defo..

Cream started off as a night in Liverpool when social media didn’t exist.. I predict Abode to be very successful. I personally won’t be going though.

most definitely yes. but that was a very different time then with a lot less competition on the island.

I might come across overly negative though and that's not my idea really. just thinking it'll be a tricky one but as so often, I might be completely wrong! it is true that the workers contingent should be really big for that one and that alone will help lots.

They will have the TOWIE crew there and all sorts. It will be the place where everyone will want their IG profile pic. I follow Abode and other nights out of interest in how the scene is and I’ve always thought that they would become very big. I don’t usually do predictions but I would be willing to put a tenner on it lol

unless someone else decides to put up a trance night. it's not a hint, just a thought.
