I'm really not liking the look of Amnesias weekly rota. Just read whats menna be replacing Cream on Thursdays - be plenty of people from the tech-house crew happy:oops:

I know conversation has moved on but just worth noting the UK has had a real resurgence in "underground" (I hate that word) gay nights playing good music. Off the top of my head -

Chapter 10 in London
Love Muscle in Leeds
Kiss Me Again in Manchester (just had Ben UFO b2b Call Super)
Homoelectric, also Manchester

& of course Horse Meat Disco have held down a residency for forever

DJ Sprinkles is playing a gay night in Manchester in a few weeks

I imagine there are probably more I'm unaware of

I wouldn't mind it because I don't think Giles has ever come to Canada so would be nice to see on the motherland

that's how things currently look like. AFAIK it's not a done deal yet, but seems to go ahead.

what is sure by now, even though it's nowhere announced yet, is that cream won't be at amnesia. from what I understand there won't be a weekly cream party anymore most probably, so no permanent on-island presence, but maybe something like a one-off creamfields ibiza festival.

as I had mentioned a while ago, 2018 is definitely a year with a lot of pretty big changes eh!

HUGE year for changes... it shows how much things can change in a few weeks I thought it was going to be the quietest year for gossip in the long time before the Cocoon move!

As much as I'm not a fan of Cream - I do respect the fact that it offered something different and to replace it with Abode and DNS for me is very poor. BUT I have no doubt that will do far greater numbers than Cream would have done.

time will tell, I'm not sure of that really. IF it comes to pass, keep in mind you've got THU, FRI and SAT in a row with tech house parties at the same venue...and both music on and elrow have a far bigger pull than thursdays.

also amnesia mondays will have some really good line ups and thus another night people might want to go to amnesia.

and don't forget about other thursday night events that will attract people elsewhere.

gonna be an interesting one this.
