the issue with pacha's soundsystem was that it only sounded good when you were right in the centre of the dancefloor. but I agree with perrylgooner's comment, if you were smack bang centre of the floor, it did sound great.
 
on a side note, some interesting developments happening regarding phones getting banned at gigs, chris rock was the first and now Jack white seems to be following this line of direction.. could it be a sign of the future.. I hope so, my first year in ibiza 01, i’m sure there was a ban of cameras at amnesia..
 
Cocoon is my favorite night, and I would hate to think of it leaving Monday or worse leaving amnesia. BUT i do think a change is necessary for them as I don't see it getting any better this year.
Id rather see it change night than change venue, with hyte gone surely they could switch Wednesday

it may seem so to you right now yeah. but a) let's wait and see what actually gets confirmed for the summer and b) they still have the two biggest parties on the island (music on & elrow) plus together has been going strong for years. so let's not jump to early conclusions.

Cocoon is feeling the change in the island dynamics. For an already expensive trip, if you used to do 7 nights but now do 4/5, why bother with cocoon? if you're not all that in to the djs, just go to Circoloco, have a good time and earlier finish, save some money and get at least one day on the beach.
 
The phone thing isn’t hard to police, and t makes for a much better atmosphere and experience. They manage it fine in most Berlin clubs.

Sticker over the camera upon entry. If you’re caught using it, you’re out. It’s pretty simple.


I’m also an avid lover of Cocoon at Amnesia, however, I said it earlier, they need to change something and freshen up the night/brand in Ibiza. Competition is as fierce as ever. Looking forward to what the next few months bring.

Think I’ll be heading out late September/early October this year.

People would soon get the message if the camera ban was enforced. Back when you used to have an actual camera Im sure when I was in Priv you werent allowed to take them in. Im all for it I dont want anyone filming me in a club dancing the fandango. Will never forget the photo of me at Cream in Amnesia which illustrated how bad my bald patch was getting :oops:

Yeah I remember going to Privi for Tiesto back when, and cameras had to be given to the clock room or some equivalent.
 
i am among the 5% here, that don' t do drugs in ibz & refused them even given for free from random :D,Music is my Drug so i dont really need drugs as you guys :spank:

Stop thinking you're the only one in ibz not doing drug plz... We are more than what you think, just that we don't post it every 2 replies...

Any recent news about Woomoon? Still monthly at Cova Santa? It was my highlight last year... I just loved it :) And I would like to see Monolink again, what a great artist!
 
I love Cocoon - I am really into the music there (especially the Beyer style of techno) and it is such an epic way to finish a trip as I usually go for a long weekend.

Do you think though that the earlier closures of these clubs has effected attendance? Closing at 7pm seems a bit pointless to me if you are competing with Circo Loco. One of the best things about Amnesia was the sun coming up...
