Cocoon moving isnt a surprise and tbh it will have to happen this season or next. Its decline had been noticeable over the past couple of seasons, and with the exception of a few key dates its rarely full. Amnesias size will start to hurt it, if it continues there and DC10 will continue to damage it, a new start is exactly what it needs. The production (or lack of) was noted last year, and though I don't want to start another discussion about whether its required or not for a good night, it does surely reflect both the club and promoters investment in the night.

Tend to agree. It’s going through the same path of decline at amnesia that cream has over the last few years. It’s almost creeping up on them rather than wholesale changing of the guard. Dc10 has become more of a competitor than it was with less folks doing both, it also had two other techno nights at amnesia to compete with. A fresh start on a smaller scale with enhanced production on a different night may give it a new lease of life. Although that will probably go down like a fart in a lift on here! It may not be the same but it may protect it from drifting into terminal decline.

Went last year first time and Graham Sahara was playing some house tunes in the funky room..
 
Right, it’s just taken me bloody ages to read the first 10 pages so I’m giving up and just gonna ask (at the risk of this having been discussed at length somewhere between pg 10 and pg 42!)...

Were Coxy’s hints about Space building/opening somewhere new in 2018 just BS?

This might be true but they can fill some of the space with some Cocoon production to make it look more filled up.

Why do you guys think less ppl are coming to Cocoon? They usually only have 2-3 djs per room...do you think ppl don't care about longer sets anymore and just wanna see names on the lineup? Still hoping shit stays the same

It hasn't got the sheep following like Elrow, Music On, Paradise etc (which is a good thing btw) i still think Cocoon gets busy just not to the point where you can't move (again a good thing) one of a few 'proper' nights left imo and the best without question;)

cocoon will stay. I guess they are toying with the idea of privilege (not least to get a good amnesia deal) but the big size difference between the two/three privi rooms is bad for the strong cocoon lineups.
dc10 just too small and unsure in a season where crowd control comes in and nobody really knows how many people will actually be allowed there. the 65 of their cafe license? Guess not but who knows nowadays. dc10 was a very naughty loud boy last summer...

That was just a joke lol. But I mean she is coming out with an underground sound this year so who knows.

Things aren't looking so good for amnesia...Hyte gone, Cocoon may be gone, Paris party done, Cream falling apart. What are ppl doing instead??
