Agreed - I really am hoping for some success for Pyramid.

My last visit to Circoloco last week really did make me seriously question if I would ever bother returning again unless under exceptional circumstances. The vibe wasn't great, musically it was very dull and as always once inside it was rammed. I also find the sound quality on the inside poor - the main room has been hyped up as one of the best on the island in the past but I found it overly bassy to the point that it actually hurt my ears.

Pyramid on the other hand last week was a real surprise - good atmosphere, good music (particularly when Maceo came on) and a very comfortable crowd level if not edging on the quieter side of things. Markedly improved from the opening party IMO and with some far stronger weeks to come later in the season. Ideally, this night picks up and that will be the end of my Circoloco visits.

It is impossible for there to be any vibe in those rooms what with the bunching, the heat and the security staring at you. It has to be mentioned again that the only people that are enjoying the party are those smashed on Ket.

Pyramid what with some of the lineups, cost of entry should be pulling in the numbers - It does need a bit of marketing to make it popular enough but not too popular.
It is just a basic night though and has no real identity that is its issue and the name??? It seems a little last minute gap filler and see what DJ they can rustle up that is free

I've been to dc10 over a hundred times over the course of the last 15 years, the majority of those without ket and still to this date I am having great nights there every now and then.


also 'make it popular but not too popular' for pyramid - you really think that's the promoter's goal?

I am sorry but currently DC10 after midnight is the worse place to be on the island.. That is if its your first time or your 100th time. In my opinion

as a customer. I know PLENTY of people who religiously go to dc10 regularly still, who don't take ket and have a great time still.

everyone is entitled to voice their opinion on here but so am I to call out BS if I think it is

The way people act as if DC10 is the last bastion of Ibizas clubbing soul is laughable.

Of course you can still go and have a good night, and of course the vibe isn't the same as it was, but how they get away with relentlessly championing the Versace Brothers, giving a slot to Virgil Abloh and still claim to represent the soul of the island, madness. I doubt there is a night other than solomun that gives out more VIP wristbands than DC10 relative to it's size.

Dc10 feels like the emperor of Ibiza, one day people will wake up and see he has no clothes, or is dressed all in off white!!

I'll take that bet. You can call it what you want but an event will be branded "CircoLoco" that will happen there. Wynn is hosting a mini BPM like festival style weekend across their resort. Rumors is coming, All Day i Dream, and a few others. The event might be trash but that's a whole diff conversation.

I don't think it's appalling I agree with Rye but I would say 0230. For me the trick for DC10 has always been get there early and go early.

Ibiza for me was always about day time.. I can go to better clubs at night at home..with less djs playing..

The island certainly lost some of its magic when it moved predominantly to night time clubbing rather than day time

interesting post. I wouldn't really associate the term "clubbing soul" with anywhere anymore tbh, certainly not in season, which is why my ambition is to go to iBZ in the cooler months when it seems from what I've heard that things are less money-driven and more interesting music-wise. FWIW I also think it is a bit unfair to be too harsh on Circo because they do at least get some credible DJs in but who I imagine they feel obliged to balance out to keep the bean counters happy... capitalism sucks, eh?
