Apologies for posting this on this thread but anyone know if Ants announce the set times beforehand, heading there today but fairly slim pickings DJ wise but also dont want to go earlier than I have to
 
I know a lot of people don’t like Abode /DNS but I got to say the atmosphere in there this week was the best I’ve been to this year. People smiling and enjoying life. It was just as good as cocoon which is always special.DNS in the Amnesia main room really does suit that place.

Went to Circo on Monday and Virgil Abloh played the worst set I’ve ever heard. Absolute disaster. If I was running that night I would have pulled him straight of the decks and put him in a taxi home. I can’t express how bad he was. I hate posting negative things but I had to for this. Big up to Amelie Lens though
 
I enjoyed Virgil!

So Circo at the last second put Lee Burridge in the garden for 8 PM start Arrgh. I completely missdd him as a result.

Does anyone know why the sound cut out for like 20 mins?

Agreed he truly was horrendous. I have to say the Circoloco just gone was the worst I’ve ever attended!

Caught the last 45 minutes of Burridge who was decent - Tanzmann and Squillace was dull, Virgil was awful and once again it was horrendously packed and we left for Pyramid which was actually surprisingly good.

Also the sound in the main room was honestly way too bassy on the right hand side near the bar which was the only place with any space. Just not an enjoyable experience there anymore unless your incredibly lucky with the lineup and go in the 2/3rd week of June or 2nd/3rd week of September.

3rd week of June sucked too. Also really really crowded.

Hoping 3rd week of sep is abit less crowded...im just gunna make sure i go early so at least get some time when its not like sardines
 
Tbh the main room was decent to move around in this past week. It wasn't as bad as last week where it really was a sardine can

he's been playing more varied at different events lately. he's already played a house set at dc10 a month back IIRC and I've also seen him playing a set that wasn't that banging at caprices festival daytime.

secretly I was hoping that tomorrow klock would do a b2b with dettmann at dc10 but it's not happening is it...

Agreed - I really am hoping for some success for Pyramid.

My last visit to Circoloco last week really did make me seriously question if I would ever bother returning again unless under exceptional circumstances. The vibe wasn't great, musically it was very dull and as always once inside it was rammed. I also find the sound quality on the inside poor - the main room has been hyped up as one of the best on the island in the past but I found it overly bassy to the point that it actually hurt my ears.

Pyramid on the other hand last week was a real surprise - good atmosphere, good music (particularly when Maceo came on) and a very comfortable crowd level if not edging on the quieter side of things. Markedly improved from the opening party IMO and with some far stronger weeks to come later in the season. Ideally, this night picks up and that will be the end of my Circoloco visits.
