Musically I would say that Circoloco are still one of the best - truthfully its very rare I would look at a Circoloco lineup and wouldn't find a number of artists whom I would like to see. At their best some lineups are mouthwatering.

My main gripe is mainly around the financial greed of the owners and subsequent overcrowding and how that affects my experience - if they kept the numbers comfortable inside the club I would say the vast majority of parties would be great and there would definitely be occasions where I would have stayed for the duration rather than leaving around 1/2AM.

I would also argue that the soundsystems inside need some refinement to compete with Amnesia, Pacha etc. Far too bassy and for me the only club where I have noticed my ears actually hurting on the dancefloor.

I'll take that bet. You can call it what you want but an event will be branded "CircoLoco" that will happen there. Wynn is hosting a mini BPM like festival style weekend across their resort. Rumors is coming, All Day i Dream, and a few others. The event might be trash but that's a whole diff conversation.

I think they plan on branding it as "CircoLoco du soleil"

I'm looking to do Pacha this year again and I'm stuck between going HS82 on the Friday or Solomun+1 on the Sunday, anyone got any opinions on which night to choose and what to expect from each? - If we did Solomun, where else is a decent shout for the Friday night?

Would depend on line up for me personally, but for 'peak' Pacha, Solomun is probably the best bet.

I would say without question that Solomun+1 would be your best bet - from a musical, crowd and atmosphere perspective.

For my musical tastes, I would say that Friday's are one of the weakest nights of the week so Labyrinth is probably your best option again unless there is something on at somewhere like Pikes.

Yeah I was swinging towards HS82 on the Friday myself and having a night off on the Sunday as wanted to do Circoloco on the Monday as I've never been DC-10 - but hearing reviews of how overcrowded this gets not sure whether go there either. These are the two lineups when we are there on 31st Aug and 2nd Sept:

Personally, I'd be tempted by that Labrinyth line up and do Circo Loco but that is just me

I'm a bit surprised about the whole circoloco discussion. In my eleven years ibiza, dc10 has ALWAYS been uncomfortably rammed in august. This is hardly news. And yes, the numbers the owners let through the doors are worrying to say the least.

Yeah I've been during May, June, July, August and September and its been rammed on every occasion. This year feels even worse than it has done before due to the absence of Cocoon and Pyramid taking time to truly take off.

If you read some posts from early June, everyone said it was very comfortable. It’s only the last 4-5 weeks, ie peak season July where people have been complaining. Although I doubt it’s worse than any other season.

You just need to know the spots, just like when space was rammo, it was very doable if you knew your way round.

What’s up!! Only talking from recent experience (July 25 to Aug 1 2018) when I say that Solomun+1 was miles better than Labyrinth. Went to both and personally, thought HS82s set was amazing but the night as a whole was not as good as Solomun from the perspective of crowd and general vibe. Now granted I’m comparing HS82 with Armand van helden/miss Kittin to Sol+1 Dixon which is unfair.

It makes it hard to say as HS line up looks tastier for this week but I’d go Sol over HS based on my experience.

Whether you go DC10 is another question entirely
