*** ibiza 2018 observations ***

Do not sleep at Amnesia club room yesterday was a good party. Good sound, wooden floor, right light and not to much sounds leaking from the big room. Room maybe half full when Luigi Madonna played, he is new for me and I liked him alot. Varied tempos, style and still I easily got lost in the rhythm. Darius Syrossian is a favourite of mine, and more people got in the room to dance. After a while alot left so maybe only a third full at the end. When Alan Fitzpatrick started alot of people came back. He opened with a vocal D A N C E and played very funky thundering techno. I saw him back in ‘11 in a very small club north in europe, glad to see he made it. Left around 06, still good vibe in the club room. But the big room was almost empty.

Thinking of hitting Do Not Sleep with Syrossian and Cassy after Ushuaia on the 13th, think Afterlife might be harder to get into after Beyer and co during the day.
 
Calvin Harris has certainly been on a journey. Here he is looking like a bedraggled Cameron Frye from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off performing with Dizzee Rascal at Glastonbury a few years back.

 
Really sad to see Amnesia terrace being slow some nights after having some of my best clubbing nights ever there.

I'm assuming El Row and Music On are the only true packed out nights outside a handful of Pyramid nights?

the only two dates the terrace got really full for pyramid were the takeover ones - one night stand and dyinamic. other than the nights you mentioned, vibra has a packed terrace too.

it's perfect timing for amnesia as this crap is THE trend in the charts and possibly the new edm with steve aoki, robin schulz and david guetta all having a reggeaton track out now. guettas track is a reggeaton version of time to say goodbye FFS !!!
 
We are Sankeys yesterday had Corbi & Simon Morell. Only half full room and only the Lab open. Great selectors, I think they played afew deep house releases from uk late 90s. Good crowd. Sounded like someone has upgraded the subs in the Lab, alot of low frequency kick! Ryan O Gorman played after. He is very skilled on the decks, what a pleasure. Pbr Streetgang was not my thing so I left 05, room now only a quater full. I hope this club can still go on, they used to have Lab and main full.

Sankeys is an awesome club. Would love to see Viva Warriors return next year. Sure that would help rejuvenate the club again.

I’m aware the previous owners had ripped people off. I don’t know anything about the new owners and their history.

Sankeys hasn’t had many good nights this year to attract people apart from unusual suspects and idol which has a lot of competition.this is one of the main reasons. I know a lot of people who would go back to sankeys if there was nights to attract them.
