Hotel discussion thread

We stayed TRS last year and loved it so booked the same for next week.
Not the cheapest but we enjoyed the food and it was relaxed during the day.

I’d prefer fairly relaxed (not dead) around the pool and then do the partying elswhere.

Just curious, but are there any figures out for July / August on occupancy levels / lengths of stay?

Be interesting to see if any trends.

august hotel occupancy 92% up 1% on last year.
That's interesting based on what people have been saying!

Is that based on same amount of capacity/rooms?

I guess the more footfall at airport ties into shorter stays. Only a few people I talked to where doing 7-14 days.

Thanks anyhow

The hotel I’m at had loads turn up today and it’s full tonight, I know that from hearing the receptionist speak to someone requesting a new room.

reminds me of 2010 staying at Es Vive, room next to the £&@?ing lift 😩
Its like door slamming Olympics and everyone going for gold.

Tbf even if they bothered to catch door on close, the electronic lock bolt action shotgun is loud enough on its own.

Also: curtains that block only 2% of the light.

Tell I'm grumpy from 2 hours sleep. 🫠

I always pitied the people staying by the lifts there. Probably why I now always requests rooms away from lifts!

Most of the rooms in Es Vive are affected by slamming doors too, sadly, even when people aren't doing it deliberately.

Was a great vibe there, im sure it's a lot different now. Sleep was very trying, that bar in the "basement" just stayed open until the last person left I think? In fact, to add insult to injury it was by the stair well too.

The other problem is furniture moving like its going out of fashion. Get why but man oh man.

At least The Twiins had beds on wheels that let them do it quietly.

/rant over (for now😬)

Definitely different since Messi bought it. So no all night club & delivery service!

I took my Mum there twice to stay which I suspect I would not have done previously…

I saw some pictures of grand palladium, it looked like it got hit bad too. About 1-2 feet of water in reception.
