oh 100% essential kit. where we live, you hear absolutely everything (and not just my snoring)... There are a few youtube channels which are pretty good for white/brown noise, atmospheric effects, soothing moods, to neutralise the neighbours

Mrs C goes mad as I sleep with the bedroom window shut, we've even had a bedroom divorce.

But im certain im not going to to listen to some tw@t on a motorbike trying to beat the land speed record, the Police helicopter or 24 year old "Josh" at the back knocking out bangers at 9.30pm when im trying to sleep.

I'll probably have earbuds listening to some sleep hypnosis app tbf, works when I stay in hotel rooms with the missus and kids, so can't imagine external noise could be any louder than when you've got the Buckley Brothers monkeying around next to you

Almost any background noise is fine in a hotel or at home, because I have had constant tinnitus for 25 years. Complete silence, especially with earplugs when sleeping, is sometimes really nerve-wracking. For this reason, even questionable, cheap hotels in the middle of a party street or bar area are just fine for me! 😁

It might just be me, but does anyone else find main travel websites (uk) have lack of board options?

Looked at garbi ibiza & spa, but jet 2 only shows b&b and tui shows half board with no option to change to full/ai.

I'm guessing if did get b&b you could upgrade when getting to the hotel.

Late replying here but I've mostly been looking at Greece this summer and noticed more rooms are self catering than before. Wondering if ever increasing wages in Europe just aren't making running a kitchen profitable? Even for a small hotel you need a chef, pot washer, waiting staff, big electric bill for the fridge etc.

Eating out is nicer but if there's a group of you it can get expensive and also hard to get tables together without booking.

Yikes.. cutting corners

I drive around there quite regularly and it has looked like a building site since it opened - at the back in particular. Also assume it was meant to be cladded, as per the somewhat more stylish artistic impressions, rather than grim grey concrete.

Same person i posted about in other thread is staying in that massive hotel near cala gracio. €2000 for a 4 night stay:eek:

Dont get me wrong it looks lush and that price is for all inclusive but €500 a night…

Trs? Stayed there with the wife a couple years back to treat ourselves, first holiday without the kids in like 14 years. It’s nice but no hotel is worth that in my opinion, the fun happens elsewhere. And I always ended up wanting to chill on Cala gracio in the day anyway. Nice having free cocktails on the roof bar and the music was always good with different acts every night for the sunset but yeah silly money

Think thats the one mate yeah. Walked past it last year on way to cala gracio and we both said it looks lush but bet its expensive, didn't think it would be that extreme !

A friend of mine stayed with her boyfriend at TRS in July and said it was very disappointing. They had to move rooms and even then, they were surrounded by people (adults) running up & down the corridors at all hours and slamming doors. They had paid for a higher grade room too for a special occasion.
