Getting to/from Ibiza latest info

Yeah, just as the masks came off too! We’ll see though. I think it may depend on how many new cases are treated as serious
Yes I hope and do think spain will treat it that way, they haven't back tracked so far and cases especially in Madrid have been high since pandemic (even though have been going down)

The vaccination process is going really well in spain, I hope I get the janssen vaccine one jab and done

Someone just told me friends of theirs travelling back from Spain soon have booked pre departure lateral flow tests which they do via Zoom with a health professional advising. Is this a thing?
Yes it is. I think whoever partnered with Tui offer it

To be fair - it should only affect the 18-25s perhaps, anyone 25 over should be able to get a second jab during July(ish) ...

I know where I am there has been a big drive for people to get second jabs and seem to have said 5-6 weeks between jabs rather than the 10-12 'official' guidance

Not right. The Spanish Goverment is putting PCR tests in place for British arrivals...not quarantine.

Anyone know if this applies to children? I'm double-jabbed but looks like my wife will need a PCR test to fly to Mallorca next week, wondering if I'm going to have pay for my two boys too

Breezed through bag drop and security at Heathrow and into the departure lounge in under 20 minutes. Very slick. Self-service is the way forward. Was already the case in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur and the like. Effortless and minimal interaction with other humans

There was a stray 50ml bottle of hand sanitizer in my carry on. Unbelievably they let me keep it, despite flagging it. Never known them so human!

Was this on the way to Ibiza? Did you have to show the results of any tests anywhere - outbound or on arrival?

To Ibiza, yes. UK travellers can still travel to Balearics without a test until Thursday, so no requirement for a PCR for me. I have done lateral flow tests every few days this week to be as sure as possible - all negative

Nobody has asked in any case, but I'll update upon reaching the gate. Now it's breakfast and the obligatory airport beer

Does anyone know if NHS test's will be accepted as entry to Spain/Ibiza? or Private only still

Malta seem to have been saying 12+ needs to be vaccinated. Portugal was apparently 12 and under for their age rules. Not sure on the detail of Spain yet.
