Getting to/from Ibiza latest info

Just been told that to get into Ibiza you need a COVID jab within 270 days of going. Some of my group falls out of this date and we have been advised to re book the holiday next year .. what are your thoughts on this ??
When are you going? I have that worry about late August, by then my 270 days will be up and there's no sign of a third booster yet. The great unknown is - if you put back until next year, they could drop all covid mandates within weeks if they wished - so you could have gone anyway.
Of course there must still be the alternative of taking tests and proving negativity before you go? Is that still applicable?
Also - is it possible to get a private paid-for jab?

Uk Gov advice states the 270 day limit on full vaccination but no limit on boosters. Copied it below.

“At least 14 days must have passed since being fully vaccinated (with both doses of a 2-dose vaccine or one dose of a single-dose vaccine) before arrival in Spain. Your date(s) of vaccination must be specified and your final dose must have been administered within 270 days prior to travel to Spain. If you completed your vaccination (with both doses of a 2-dose vaccine or one dose of a single-dose vaccine) more than 270 days prior to travel to Spain, you must be able to show proof of having received a booster jab. There is no requirement for 14 days to have passed between receiving your booster jab and entering Spain. Booster jabs can be administered at any time prior to travel to Spain. There is currently no expiry date for booster jabs.”

If you want another jab you’ll get one in time, I get an email or text from the NHS weekly asking me to book. Private jabs aren’t available.

FFS. I thought i'd read somewhere that they'd dropped the 270 day thing. I had my booster booked and then caught Covid in January so it was cancelled. My 2nd dose was August last year and I fly in January so it looks like i'm going to have to get the booster just to get into Spain

I haven't taken any jabs, and have never tested positive. When I arrived 2 weeks ago, traveling on a Norwegian passport, all that was needed was a negative Rapid Antigen test within 24 hours of arrival.

The Spanish authorities at the airport didn't even look at the test.

Going end of August. Travel agents has been advised to tell us it's a big risk as some of the group may not be able to go due to the COVID jab, and a second booster is a grey area so could get one but is not guaranteed they will be able to get in to Ibiza

The booster doesnt have a date associated as far as I can make out.
Its either two jabs , with the last being within 270 days OR two jabs and a booster, with no "expiry" date associated with the booster.

I’ve seen people in taxis today with face masks on. Still need to wear on public transport but I’m not 100% on the taxi rule. I’m just carrying one just in case at this stage 🤷🏻‍♀️

yeah you still do in taxis. daft imo. Most people in the supermarkets here still wearing them, out of habit I think.

Some women kicked off a 'debate' on Twitter about whether the traditional Spanish introductory 'kiss on both cheeks' etiquette will/should now return and it seemed to divide opinion!

@snowydid you take a taxi when you was in ibiza? Did you have to wear face masks?
I took a bunch of taxis. Each time the driver was wearing a mask, and so did I without being asked to.

At the beginning of my stay just about all shop employees were wearing masks. So out of respect and/or obedience I put on a mask when entering the shop. But things started to get more relaxed towards the end of my stay.

No restaurants demanded wearing a mask walking to and from the table - except at one hotel where I stayed.

Whilst I had to wear a mask walking alone through a large hotel reception, there was no mask mandate at Es Paradis or any of the bars and discos in the West End.

From what I understand the indoor mask mandated was lifted on the 20th April, the day I left. But it's still in place on flights. I don't know if there is still a mask mandate for taxis.

It's blood confusing. It was booked 13 months ago .

Portugal is cancelling "Brexit" for Brits at the airport.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/20...h-travellers-eu-citizens-borders-cut-airport/

It's really the only sensible solution. I suspect at lot of other EU countries will eventually do the same.
Oh Portugal...wonderful! But they still have to stamp the passports in and out which is both time and wo/manpower consuming. Why cant the EU and UK sit down and sort this nonsense out...we're still europeans even if Brexit doesn't like that. If they voted Brexit they don't have to go to the EU, so leave us alone....rant over.

Has anyone travelled from the UK on a recovery certificate as it does actually state that the Balearics don't accept it from the UK but I have also heard from people that its fine
