Films....

seriously how can you look forward to Taken 2 when the first film was sutch utter ridiculous rubbish? apart from the fact than Liam Niesen is bad man of course haha

'i will find you...And I will kill you..." Its an Arnie worthy line deffo.

I agree completely, it's brainless but at the same time good entertainment for the hour and a half.I saw it yesterday and it's pretty much the first film all over again. There is a blatant rip off of a line from "man on fire"

Bryan: Listen to me carefully kim, Your mother is going to be taken, and people are going to come for you too.

Kim: What are you gonna do?

Bryan: What i do best.

It's worth an hour and a half of your time.

Liam Neeson is fast becoming the new Nicholas Cage.

Ie if he's in it, it's ****e.

Both are someone who used to be known for great films who have become a laughing stock.

That film "The Grey" where big Liam is fighting the wolves, looked so good but was so awful I felt angry afterwards

The final scene where he sellotapes the broken minature bottles to his hand and attacks the wolf was like something out of a Grange Hill school yard fight scene.

And they didn't even let you have the satisfaction of seeing his lumbering morose face being shredded to bits by the pack - who to be fair was probably hunting the big oaf down out to avenge his ridiculous back catalogue of films.

He clearly doesn't give a **** what films he does anymore - which is fair enough - but still a shame.

Not a fan then?????

The final final scene is after the credits have rolled, and a bit confusing.

Jusct watxhed Control , for those interested.......very powerful and massively depressing , do not watch on a comedown. True story of Ian Curtis of Joy Division...

Id seen it before but was on one of those downer moods tbh

Got another 5 for £30 Blu-rays coming so hopefully see some of Black Swan, Biutiful, Troll Hunter, We Need To Talk About Kevin and NEDS over the weekend. :)

Did anyone see 'Everyday' (TV drama/film)? Pi$$ed off I missed it, especially as I knew it was coming up. :spank: Guess it'll be repeated.

Saw Silver Linings Playbook last week. It's split the critics down the middle, but I really enjoyed it. Some very funny scenes.

Jennifer Lawrence is brilliant in it. Robert De Niro's best screen performance in years, possibly decades. And Chris Tucker's turn is hilarious!

A gripping fact-based drama on the subject of mental health this is not, but still entertaining.

Last couple of days:

We Need To Talk About Kevin - equal measures of enjoyable discomfort and feeling it drags a bit. Not necessarily recommended watching for soon-to-be parents like us:lol:

Lucky Number Slevin - missus had seen before and said I'd like. Very watchable if a little Usual Suspects-lite....

Started rewatching Gladiator last night, on Blue Ray - looks even more amazing.

One of the most overrated films in recent history. Good acting, some good sequences (mostly near the start), but the kid was like typical one-note horror movie evil kid, when I'm not sure a horror move is what the makers had in mind. I was hoping it was going to be a nature vs nurture, ask questions about where the blame lies when kids commit such acts kinda film - and I was sorely disappointed. I have the book to read and I hope it's better.

Watched Biutiful at the weekend. Stunning film, with an amazing lead performance from Javier Bardem. Loved seeing the seamier side of Barcelona on film and the end leaves you thinking.

Completely agree - I said it was the best De Niro's been since Casino. The whole thing was brilliant :)

Watched Das Boot over the last couple of nights. Really, really enjoyed it and really connected with the characters. Have decided to never go to sea in a submarine!

Watched LA Confidential at the weekend, not sure how I'd never seen it before. Some really big names on the cusp of the bigtime. Something didn't quite click for me, though I did enjoy it. Might have been Russell Crowe's character that was a bit one dimensional maybe.

Eyes down for Django Unchained this Friday.....
