Films....

Watched Mr.Nice recently, which was amusing but a shame he missed seeing his kids grow up

Totally loved 'the Best exotic marigold hotel' oh it was well written, great cast, and just loved the array of sounds & colours of india

Salmon fishing in the Yemen - umm some good funny lines but overall bit dull but this was forgiven as cinematography was ace and the sheik was a gorgeous hunk!

No way!! I thought it was fantastic, although a slow burner and pretty grim in places but defo worth the two hours.

Maybe it just wasnt for my frame of mind on Sat - was feeling quite upbeat and minxy and it just didnt do it for me....

Watched The Guard last night...... I nearly died laughing - amazing and its up there with In Bruge - same director so.....8)

I watched The Avengers last night. I don't know what all the fuss is about. I thought Sean Connery was unconvincing as a villian, Uma Thurman & Ralph Fiennes lacked any onscreen chemistry & the plot was too far fetched!

Anyone seen 'The Cabin in the Woods' yet? Any good?

I've seen this. It's not scarey and it's not what you expect. I can't say I've seen another horror film like it, well it isn't really a horror it's something different. It's totally far fetched but I have to be honest I was entertained :)

I have read nothing but spanking reviews on this film, well from bums i have on fb
I havent a clue what the film is about :D

I can't have the geek genes. I don't quite understand the fascination grown men have with superhero films (though I like some Batman and Watchmen).

What are the funniest films you have ever seen @ everyone? I'm sick of watching comedys that aren't really that funny. Everyone says the hangover but I don't think I'll like it.

Being a miserable bugger, I don't watch that many comedies, but the South Park film I had to pause the 1st time I was laughing so hard.

Me too, I tend go for the darker harrowing films and I've seen a few lately and really need to clear my head with a bit of comedy! I haven't seen the South Park movie but I will give it a go it's probably more the kind of messed up humour I like

Hey all - my first post since joining :)

The 80s were great for comedies, Saturday Night Live gave us some terrific comics on and off-screen. Many with Tom Hanks, Dan Aykroyd, Chevy Chase and Steve Martin are hilarious and worth checking out! :D
