Why not watch 'Let the Right One In' instead? Great film, very touching. It's more about outsiders than vampires.

Agreed. Very good film!! Shot in very moody fashion and the kids were top actors. Really well done.

I've downloaded Let Me In just to watch & compare. The critics liked it but I think the consensus was there wasn't really a reason to remake the original (there usually isn't!)

There is a reason to remake the original - and that is many people are too dumb/lazy to read subtitles.

Last night I watched (randomly) The Messenger, starring that bird out of Twilight who keeps biting her lip all the time. It was mildly diverting, at least until the stupid ending.

The books are great, really get you hooked, not just for teens either - films obviously a lot cut out and aimed at teens
