Films....

I went to the concentration camp in Krakow, that scared the crap out of me.

We had a polish lady working for us not so long ago, until she got knocked up  and she had her wedding in Poland, so a few people from our office went over there for a few days and they also went to the conecentration camps and the main vibe you got back is they are definately very eiry (spelt wrong ?) places

I think beause you know what went on there the feeling you get is more saddening :(

TBH i wouldnt go to Poland for a holiday destination, its like being in Poland where i live anyway with the amount we got living here

But i think if you end up over there for some reason, i think you would just have to see these places

The Holocaust story makes me sick and angry - brings me back to that film i watched the other day 'The Boy in Stripped Pyjamas' such a heart touching film....

Back on to films and the Holocaust...Schlinders List :evil: whos seen it ?

Must have been the age when I enjoyed them, in fact it probably was

The one at Alton Towers where you lay down freaked me out too, Air

Back for some 'coaster chat - Air is amazing! In fact all the biggies at Alton Towers are cool. No blood and guts involved ;)

Air is a wicked ride, differenmt to al the normal rollercoasters...didnt like the fact that it broke down when we got to the end of the ride and were stuck in the horizontal position for about 10 mins, stiff kneck isnt the words  lol

Seen it, though not for a while.

I'd quite like to go to Poland, as I've been to a couple of other eastern Europe destinations and like that part of the world. However, I'd be going for the city life, beer and food rather than to look at concentration camps, awful as that may sound. ;)

Agree with Alton Towers, just wish it wasnt so far away for me.

Thorpe Park is my closest and its definitley improved on thrill seeking rides over the last few years.

I might need to refresh the old memory with that film again, not that i wana endure the sadness of the film, but its quite a watch if i remember correctly....

TBH, I can only drink a couple of pints before going on to spirits. My stomach's not great at processing beer. I would have thought the Poles liked a beer, though?

Yup. ;)

As much as I have respect for those who lost their lives in the holocaust, I don't quite get the thing for going on holiday to visit concentration camps.

I went to Krakow and Warsaw to party, but I thought I would add a bit of history. I like Krakow better than Warsaw. The people were great and it was cheap as chips to boot. I would defo say goto Poland for a visit.
