Drugs

Everyone at it around here too. Just been at a festival all weekend, the smart wips were everywhere.

Won't be a hypocrite, we had the cannisters every so often but same with my empty cans I keep them until we pass a bin. The 'Leave no Trace' slogan is engraved in me
Beatherder??

As always we had a proper laugh the whole weekend, literally walked around with a massive grin throughout. Saturday was tough with the relentless rain but having a dry Caravan makes it easier, Sunday more than made up for it - always the best day 🥳

I read a few negative reviews straight after but we saw nothing but good vibes, with a twist of Beatherder madness 🫠

Most years there seems to be a certain cut or two that are recommended, this year not so much.

Last month I wasn’t a fan of the pink shibas at all. Anyone done pink shibas and have a better recommendation? Arriving tomorrow and seeing what other cuts are about currently 👍🏻

TBF, mcat (pre-ban at least) was an excellent high. Not actually had any of that now for two years. 🥇

you reckon? I always thought it was a half-arsed substitute. It was synthesised to mimic the effects of mdma but without the empathy and loveyness. And people reeked too. It was anyway just a stop-gap solution during the infamous 'drought' of 2009

While it has elements of other stimulants, it's its own thing, which is the reason people still buy it and are obsessed with whether the stuff around now is still the same as pre-ban (or did they just destroy their brain?). I don't think anyone reminisces about any of the other old legal highs. Kind of glad I finally seem to have drawn a line under it. I think a lot of us did some dumb, out of character things on it, plus the comedowns were brutal.

I agree with a lot of this. My first reply was "there's a place for everything" and I stand by that. It is still considered one of the best chemsex substances, and considerably less dangerous than the other popular choices, methamphetamine and GHB.

For a couple of years in the late 00s it was brilliant stuff, and someone told me that with the right person "prescribing" it, it's still good in 2023. But not from street sellers, there are people who are still "connoisseurs" of the stuff.

However, I think that it is dangerous in the fact that it was so moorish, and indeed very addictive. A couple of friends and I had to sort out a good friend, a successful businessman as it happens, when he had a real issue with it. He's fine now mind, and has been sober of all chemicals for a few years. I never had a problem with comedowns back in the day, other than feeling a bit wretched.

It did make people stink though, Monday mornings on the tube used to absolutely hum.

A couple of comments on that post saying 2 other people have died in similar incidents this past week. Awful to hear stuff like this happen.

I know there was a few reports last year of dodgy stuff on the island, but I’ve not seen any this year so far. Anybody else? If so, which are the ones to avoid?

This is obviously terrible. But, fact check, how many people die from drug overdoses in Ibiza in a year?

Bit of a public service announcement: many of you will have read about the sad passing of a 19 year old British tourist a couple of weeks ago. That is the only fatality I'm aware of, but it does seem like there are more cases of people becoming very unwell

Unfortunately I don't have any information about the type of press, but it is a purple coloured pill (also being sold as dust/powder) which is being reported as making people unwell

So caution is being advised. Test always
