People have had enough . Lossing jobs ,homes and lifestyle choice . People did the right thing back in April for months and months ,still no change .Lockdowns do not work and the power house people do what they want , drive to test eyes , run to the second home in France or Devon .Kier Starmer has confirmed Labour will abstain in the vote. Correct decision, now isn't the time to create chaos by having the Government lose a crucial vote.
I do think this period of goodwill is coming to an end though, further votes in the new year will be opposed I reckon.

Meanwhile I cannot go to simple wedding in Talamanca .
BiB - Alcoholic drinks. You shouldn't need a meal if you simply want a softie or coffee.Dont wish to disappoint, but in T2 you can only order drinks in a pub/restaurant/bar when you are ordering a "substantial meal"
When you have finished that meal you cant order just drinks.
So here's my plan for the weekend trip out for my birthday
Aperitif - Anis/Pernod
Pre Pre Dinner drink - Double Gin Tonic
Pre Dinner Drink - 330ml Bottle decent lager
Starter - White Wine 1/2 bottle
Mains - Red Wine 1/2 bottle
Desert - Desert wine
Digestif - Double malt
Coffee - Liquer with cream (any spirit as won't be arsed at this stage)
Small Milk Tart snifter with final bill
Mate, I couldn't agree more. Its bollocksBiB - Alcoholic drinks. You shouldn't need a meal if you simply want a softie or coffee.
Yup, the first minute we go into T2 I'll test it out, go for a walk and if I'm denied a tea/biscuit in a pub I'll be on to the local rags (unless it's specific pub rules as I've alluded to - they may just want to sell food for the profit). But why would a pub NOT want to sell a coke when the profit is something like 3 -500%? (can of coke from Adsa, in bulk = what, 40p? £1.20 in a bar at best).Mate, I couldn't agree more. Its bollocks
What they must think is that you, Alan, Jeff, Mary, Ken and Sheila are all going to hug each other at the quiz night.BiB - Alcoholic drinks. You shouldn't need a meal if you simply want a softie or coffee.
Our local bar (and it is a bar) is not opening after this lockdown. As I said before, we are in T2 and they have said its just not worth it. They only have a small kitchen, but the best selection of Cocktails and Beers this side of the Manny Ship Canal.Yup, the first minute we go into T2 I'll test it out, go for a walk and if I'm denied a tea/biscuit in a pub I'll be on to the local rags (unless it's specific pub rules as I've alluded to - they may just want to sell food for the profit). *Add Ice and lemon = substantial meal, put a drop of voddy in it there, bud. I'll eat the straw if I have to.
Here it was only if you had an alcohol drink you had to buy substantial meal.. coffee and soft drinks and for designated driversMate, I couldn't agree more. Its bollocks
I saw someone have a sugar/caffeine rush once. It wasn't pretty. Here it was only if you had an alcohol drink you had to buy substantial meal.. coffee and soft drinks and for designated drivers
I may have got this wrong. I cant find the legislation at the moment, im reading it in the press.BiB - Alcoholic drinks. You shouldn't need a meal if you simply want a softie or coffee.
Round these parts there are pubs in the countryside which are more like social centres, the only place to get a sit-down coffee, some even double up as local shops/post offices etc. My local has a free ATM which people pop in to just to use.I think the problem is that, other than hardened drinkers with a big tolerance, many people out for (just) a drink lose inhibition and self control, and that has a direct bearing on adherence to social distancing (or any sort of social responsibility such as not littering etc).. You don't need a scientific study to show it, just look outside any pub or bar in any town centre. Since rationing drinks doesn't work (people just go on to the next bar) it's easier just to restrict alcohol to sit down meals in this way. They actually ought to have restricted the amount of alcohol served with a meal too imho if they were serious but hey, this is a government all about being seen to do something.
I can't see them restricting soft drinks and that's not what I understood the rules said. It's just that pubs have decided people won't bother to turn up and drink in a 'dry' pub so it's not worth them opening at all.

They are closed as non-essential, but it would be barmy if you are out on a walk, the place is open again but you can't sit inside warming up with a brew.
That aside, one of my fave pubs in town when we were in T3 before had a deal with the Greek take-away opposite that you could go in the pub (Man & Sythe) and ring the take-away and they would bring your food when prepared. So you could have an alcoholic drink waiting for the food to arrive, just like you would with the pub's kitchen.
We were all just getting into the hang of it when the full lockdown arrived.

In actual fact, some would do. But we get treated as if we're all doing it. We've all had those emails at work sent to 100 people just because one person did it [anything mildly naughty pre-covid i mean].
I'm just gonna ask for a spotted dick + cream on top.Just read that the Environment Secretary George Eustice has said that a scotch egg counts as a main meal in pubs
