I said it before and I say it again doubt very much that only people vaxxed up will be able to travel....that will be discriminating the people that don't want a vaccine and can't get a vaccine due to no fault of their own especially as vaxs not mandatory

It will be pcr tests as well as vaxxed passports, greece already said that
I hope so, we've booked for last week of September so fingers crossed

Deaths falling off a cliff now.

I think this is already happening with people asking if the data is good can we open sooner. It would be stupid for the government to say yes to that because everyone will suddenly take that as we're definitely opening earlier, so it's right not to even if it is an option.

I think we should start to average under 100 deaths over 7 days in around 2 weeks from today.
Should hit it tomorrow when they report the figures :D

It’s the Daily Mail, but there is a good tool where you put your local area in and tells you the % of over 55s vaccinated in your area. When you consider that 99% of deaths are in the over 55 age, it’s quite reassuring.

The worrying thing is areas with high ethnic minorities are lower. I wish local leaders / role models would do more to help this.

100% mate, it is the elephant in the room that no-one wants to address, you only have to look at which areas still have cases going up...certain parts of the midlands etc.

In communities where several generations live together, there must be a high chance that all of them on one/joint households have had covid at some stage so could have some immunity? That doesn't mean they should avoid the jab...I would make it mandatory. Yes I know that's a slippery slope > why not do that for flu jabs etc > but these are absurd times requiring absurd conditions. A year without a hug? A pint stood at a bar? Not one sporting event visited? Think we can justify one year of mandatory covid jabs.

Managed to get my first jab today! 💪🏻

Literally just turned up with a relative and asked if I could have one - it’s as simple as that!

Now just to get those borders to Ibiza opened up! 😍

Was the relative booked in / Mass Vax Centre or a local/GP-led one ? Still got family struggling to get jabbed a year off 50 in a key worker role !

Yeah my relative was booked in and this was a smaller but mass vaccination centre!

It was reasonable busy but we were both in and out in minutes. Literally asked if I could have one and they obliged without hesitation!

Havent looked at flights yet :) but booked my hotel in ibiza town yay! then going with a friend in October but had to get my solo trip in ha
Probably a wise decision. Hotel bookings are free to cancel in the most part if there's a lockdown, airlines are a bloody nuisence. And, of course, if nearer the time you find there are no suitabel flights - cancel the hotel and go somewhere else. Win-win.
