You must be totally sick and tired of the hasstle of travel restrictions and all that goes with it.
It gets to the point where that or a self-contained AirB&B somewhere in UK become far easier options to think about than all the will-we-won't we, am I going to be out of pocket for hundreds of quid for months cr*p that people got put through last year. They'll have to resist any test-free air corridors and allow travel but make it as crazy expensive and hazardous as they can to put people off or else the Benidormers will be heading off merrily by the thousand and then whinging for other people to bail them out abroad if it all goes horribly wrong !
Completely agree re the lockdowns. If we have to stay away for another year to see an end to all that it's a price worth paying. 1-2 weeks in the sun is over very soon compared to month after month after tortuous month of having your life totally wrecked or your future put on hold !

more and more coming out now in regards to foreign travel. Sky news this morning saying holidays abroad ‘are very much in doubt this summer’. Won’t be long until the gov start backtracking on their dates/roadmap

People who think they might fly away in May/June...no chance judging by all the TV punditry. But why let it drag on, make the decision NOW and then those already booked can change their plans, but we have to wait until 12 April at the earliest to find out their plans.
This is government by psychological torture.

Just watched thing on BBC news about a trial rave in Netherlands. Idea is peeps wear masks and stick to zones/bubbles, but turns out pretty much everyone ditched the mask and rules 
Does I guess show you need to either have very low infection rates or high vaccination coverage before opening up social events (normal unseated pubs, clubs etc) as people will just ignore measures once consumed some "social libricant"

Think uk will be in a good place end April. Europe has really messed up and is going to be ~3 months behind uk. (Assuming can get people to actually want the jab above 70%)

At this outdoor rave, there were no bubbles/zones.
Masks yeah, but everyone ditched them indeed....and why not. Outdoor contamination is almost impossible AND everyone that was allowed to take part in this 'testival' was tested negative right before.
Our government is now saying festivals from July 1st will probably be possible since evyerone over 18 should be vaccinated by then.

I believe our government has bought around 10 million Janssen vaccins (they are produced here)....you only need 1 jab of that one.

Seems our govt is still way too distracted from bringing our own Covid-19 spread under control
Now Mallorca has a good reason to ban us from visiting or quarantine us, but quarantining people returning from safe areas is just mad. The Covid-19 incidence rate is 4x higher in Cologne than on Mallorca - it would make much more sense to quarantine people traveling inside Germany...

The question was why they should keep them on. The event was an experiment with different conditions for attendees to help get back to [wait for it] normal wasnt it?

They're only as effective as a single Astrazeneca jab from the data I've seen and remains to be seen whether there are supply shortages with that one too given both pfizer and AZ have both failed to meet targets. I personally wouldn't pin my hopes on a silver bullet from Janssen !
