My worry about how the debate is going to go the next few months...

As vaccine gets rolled out, U.K. Hospital and Death rates (and hopefully all countries soon) are going to get low to the floor.

Infections will RISE as we unlock. Tons of kids and young adults will cause this rise.... but hospital admissions will stay low and deaths will too.

But with a rise in infections, people will say that there is more chance that it could mutate, so we have to be really careful and not travel / stay semi locked down.

Couldn’t this become a never ending cycle?

We're already in that never ending cycle for a while now if you'd ask me.
 
Yes for the moment indeed neverending cycle but we still have to be careful even if you have the vaccines, covid still ain't over

I reckon won't be back to normalish until earliest 2022

I don’t know if this year will be the same, but I remember last year the warmer weather seemed to push the virus down.

Hopefully it will be similar this year, might just be that little extra bit of help we need.

absolutely mate! if this summer is harsher than last then something has gone completely tits up. but with the acceleration of vaccines then personally im a firm believer good times are on the horizon

the media feed on every bit of negativity they can sink their nasty little teeth into. buying into it is choice, I have personally blocked all the main culprits off my socials.. clear mind / clear soul💆‍♂️ with a week left of March we still have plenty of time on our side

Indeed mate, I like to try and remain optimistic about everything too.

A lot can change in a few months :D 👍
 
On radio today it suggested there's just been research published that the AZ vaccine is only 10% effective against the South African variant.
Thats not good

I was a bit pessimistic above, but OMG look at these numbers. There is some hope there!

  • 1.8 MILLION tests a day now (as they testing school kids twice a week)!
  • Only 5,342 positive from the 1.8m tests
  • 17 deaths yesterday (I know Sunday, but it was 64 last Sunday)
  • And that hospital admission number is diving down

With things being that low and a lot of progress being made with the vaccine, why aren’t they dropping restrictions?
