Little update. 8 hours later, feeling a touch achey and fluey, but that could also be because I was on the roof trying to stop a leak in the fecking rain this afternoon!
Update 2. It’s like a mild comedown but without the fun bit first. Manageable and rideoutable, just not what I call a good Saturday.

Easing off now, should be fine about 5 mins before the footy starts tomorrow I reckon.

Astra Zenica- 10/10, would recommend, completely worth it. Would happily feel ropey for a week if it meant I’ve got some of those badass antibodies kicking around.

Had only one day feeling low - the day after the jab. I just dosed up on ginger shots, fermented elderberry raw honey and some chaga tea polished off with a paracetamol - the next day it was all gone .. felt pretty good actually !

I had a Tiny Rebel Cali pale ale, crumpet with cheese and a paracetamol. More or less the same really

Seems few EU countries getting twitchy over AZ vaccine and blood clots.

22 reported cases from ~11 million vaccinations.

Thing is for the age groups/peeps been given it, thrombosis occurs "normally" in 1 in 1000 people. So 22 cases is way below that (which would be 11k cases if my maths is right). So like the European medicines regulator has said, nothing to worry about but is been investigated.

I wonder what really is going on and if pausing it is to deflect attention from shortages? 🤔💁‍♂️. For certain will defo dent uptake of AZ now in Europe.

Ps: a medical professional on bbc news said if anything the opposite should happen as immune response from vaccination lowers your platelet count a bit💁‍♂️

Update 3. Bit of a rough night, body temperature a bit all over the place and couldn’t get comfortable. Feeling a solid 6/10 this morning, a day of rest today (as the good Lord demands) should sort me right out

I had similar on and off for a week. I guess means body mounting a strong response which is a good thing👌.
I took half a dose of aspirin/paracetamol (so typically one tablet) for a few days which seemed to work.

(Ibuprofen would work in place of aspirin as an anti inflammatory too)

So does seem a little politically suspicious as Pfizer one had more reports. (In uk at least).

Actually, 4 people have received AZ for every 1 person who got pfizer in UK out of tens of millions of people - makes the rate 4 times higher in pfizer recipients than AZ recipients, but they suspend AZ over non-statistically significant instances ??? Strikes me it's all playing for time to get alternative vaccines on the table where a) UK and Sweden (the European pariahs) are not involved and b) there's a 1-dose regime rather than a 2-dose so they can catch up faster. Probably some financial interests at play also, alongside confused sheep-mentality by certain countries.

I think the AZ/Pfizer split is about 50/50 still, although expect the percentage bias of AZ to increase in the coming weeks.

Can't find the darned article now, but a couple of weeks ago I read a mainstream article that reported 80% of people in UK had been vaccinated with Astrazaneca.

Nah it’s definitely not that high. Will dig out the latest.

Edit:

Latest data seems to be from 28/02

“This safety update report is based on detailed analysis of data up to 28 February 2021. At this date, an estimated 10.7 million first doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine and 9.7 million doses of the Oxford University/AstraZeneca vaccine had been administered”

The above take from https://www.gov.uk/government/publi...irus-vaccine-summary-of-yellow-card-reporting

We switch from pfizer to using the AZ vaccine tomorrow.

Couldn't be worse timing woth today's developments with republic of eire suspending its use

Just read about Irelands decision to suspend use of it. Concerning to hear, hopefully they get to the bottom of it soon and this isn't a domino effect of delays
