You think this is something to celebrate?
Getting a test before the rave, facemask, 1.5 meter distance spots on the dancefloor, partying in separated 'bubbles' and getting another test after the rave. We should not want or need a new normal for partying...we need to get back to the only normal that exist. The old normal.

Also...right now we still have one of the toughest lockdowns for the entertainment and hospitality sector AND for youngsters. This so-called study event is long overdue and a facade to keep the sheeple hoping that the government is doing something for that sector.
The whole thing was a test to see how we can doing clubbing in the future and to see how it spreads in indoor environments etc

At least they are trying to do something...

I think there will come a point where it's just "right" to open clubs, and that will be down to various factors - e.g. successful vaccination roll out, low death rate. I imagine this experiment will be obsolete fairly soon.

Yes it will be, I seen there have been parties in indian, mexico, moscow and egypt on social media... interesting

Luciano played in indian and fideles in egypt

Son back to school today and his wee face was buzzing! Feels like the start of getting back to some normality.

Football and golf for me end of month the next marker then the pubs

Its happening :p
My son was very happy to arrive at his grandmother's house for the first time in months this morning too 😁

First time I'd seen her too... Told her she is clearly missing the hair dresses 👵🏻

people with children or in a child care bubble can now get lateral flow tests in uk , collect from a centre or delivered to your door , I am doing this as my wife a nurse , my two kids are at school so now whole house is tested ...and the results fed back to gov t .....I think this is the way to go , nip it in the bud early if positive .........also if data shows lots of households negative should help to show gov t how good or bad things are , around me, near hull but in the east riding of Yorkshire area, if you want and your work place has registered they are doing bookable lateral flow test , my employer is giving us time to use this facilities mainly at local leisure facilities , we can also use it for family and contractors coming to site....all positive stuff

Sounds good @craig79
Like yours, our area has been struggling with covid but slowly improving. Businesses in the town that have stayed open can also access the lateral flow tests but at the moment I do not believe it is available to families.

Both my wife and I have used the facility, which was efficient.

We are switching from pfizer to AZ here over the next month or 2
Due to supply issues with pfizer I believe.
Think it's because a large number of people will be due their 2nd pfizer dose now soon

This is going from barmy to ridiculous. Decided to look round this morning on the "just in case" principle. UK's MIGHT be able to take a foreign holiday after 17th May.
That depends on whether there will be flights, and what protocol will be needed to get on those flights (I won't have had the second jab)
We probably will be able to travel within the UK after April 12th but only inside our own bubble and don't expect any facilities on arrival.

Thinking; A bloody static caravan in Fleetwood towards the end of April which I'll fill up with booze; spend all day on the tram and all night getting unconscious - oh and I'll have the one-bed caravan all to myself...£170 for four nights

May - a hotel visit to Brighton towards the end (half-term is early June this year so the superspreaders are out of the way) pubs will be open table service.

Early June - possibly Sitges, possibly Ibiza, some decent hotels available and flights are there; Sitges gives me the option of two airports (Reus, BCN) to get decent flight times and prices - and there's the train.

Late June, after the 21st when we're free.... I B I Z A!!!!!! Oh, home sweet home. Warmth, ferries, wine, terraces, swims, sunsets....

None of the above are even booked yet - got a bad feeling that if I do the worst will happen. But the point is....a holiday in Fleetwood?
????? But things are so bad, I'd even look forward to it....
