No it was in a reply about the German politicians using the scientific world to create unrealistic and fearful forecasts to keep the German citizens under pressure to obey the rules. But pulling it out of context is normal here, I know.

Welcome to a discussion from 2 days ago, read the German articles and you'll see who is off their barnet.
If so my mistake, was a bit pished

Not here to be a dick

early conclusions from israel vaccine rollout are currently looking really good

I hope the 10pm rule is pied off this time, there was talks that it would be. just makes sense people can leave at their own accord.. with everyone leaving drinking establishments at the same time it was always going to be a case of after parties / gatherings

Anyone else had their jab and felt completely wrecked after a week? (@Hally)

Feel like a day or 2 after a really bad cold most of this week. Suppose is good as means immune system mounting a big response. Tbf my immune system over reacts big time to anything going around (and not always in a good way), which is why on vun list.💁‍♂️
I was definitely a bit under the weather after first dose. At the time I was just finishing a 6 week hard training block in a home gym so I felt thats why was run down. But the headaches were sorer than usual and then I had swollen glands in my neck so it reasonable to say it was the vaccine.
Iv heard the reaction after 2nd dose is a bit worse. I'm due in 3 weeks

Well today woke up feeling completely fine. 💁‍♂️

Looking forwards to my 2nd jab then 😁

It’ll be interesting to see if we follow the French by only giving previously infected folk one jab.

Trials showed those with previous infection given one dose of pfizer elicit a similar or better immune response to those with no previous infection who are given two doses.

I'm pretty sure that (assuming we're talking about the UK) the 10pm rule has been ditched for good. Think it's going back to 11pm - eventually - but still no drinking up time AFAIK so it's drink up and piss off, so if so the same issues will emerge. However I'd like to be wrong and learn that normal drinking-up times are re-established. Are we the only country with such absurd rules??

That aside, it looks like pubs with outdoor areas will open first with no inside drinking/eating; so I doubt in April I'll be wanting to booze outside at 10pm; so I'll be looking for day outs with a couple of hours in the sun (sun, yeah....we used up all our supply last spring) mid-afternoon with a pint of Wibbly Wonky.

All this is going off press speculation, but if I can get to my local (it has an outside garden thing) over easter that will be a big plus and boost. Just a pity it won't be the normal Blackpool Hockey Festival, but hey.

Happy Valentine

From a well placed friend on our local figures. Look promising
"Only 15 Covid cases recorded in Burnley in the last 3 days. 906 recorded in the first 7 days of Jan.
Rolling 7-day rate now just above 100 (per 100,000 people) - compared to 1,054 on Jan 8th. Town nowhere near top 100 worst-hit areas; can’t recall last time that was the case"

We've been in the less than 2 cases so data witheld category for weeks now. Whole county is at 50 cases per 100,000. There is no major outbreak here, they need to keep the pace up on the vaccinations and it could easily stay that way !
