At least as a vaccinated health worker, you will be one of the first people to be allowed back on Ibiza (and into clubs). Which is well deserved4 Ibiza trips cancelled since this began, 2 more booked. I need hope!!!
I'll happily take a little fellaSame. It is looking more and more like the July one probably won't happen, but high hopes for September...more of a hotel-based family vibe without the clubbing. I will take any sort of holiday right now, even if it means taking the little one!
I think gov will be fine with holidays in-country. But they are bricking it for foreign holidays, incase peeps bring back a variant that the vaccines don't work/stop transmission for. And off we'd go againgoing by the social feeds ive read over the last few days what looks to be confusing many is if the vulnerable have been heavily vaccinated at this stage and obviously a lot more down the pecking order will be in 5 months to come how is their any doubt about summer holidays.. im not nearly enough clued up on the whole different variants to get into debates but can't help but think why is it that is this up for question if they have faith in the vaccines? or are they waiting off on people to have their second jab?

hope so mate, I can see where the need for answers is coming from as the vast majority have sacrificed / made commitments / stuck to the rules as much as there is always a lot of noise on those who haven't, everyone I know besides a small amount have been some what saints throughout this and I guess sometimes people need that little bit back (good news) from time to time, piece of mind along the way that things are moving back in the direction of normalityI think gov will be fine with holidays in-country. Low prevalence/high vaccination rates everywhere (or European holiday destinations at least), would turn down the worry volume dial a lot for the above.
that's it pal! think sunny bank holidays in Jesmond (if people of the toon still do that)Yeah I’m picking up on this general vibe as well mate.
On one hand we are hearing vaccines are great and it’s all working out, but then getting told not to think about booking summer holidays.
Would be great if we could have another scorcher of a UK summer like we did in 2018
Probably done more two-full-day stays in the past than longer ones; mainy because it's cheaper - and quicker - to jet off to Ibiza from Manchester for a short stay than somewhere like Bournemouth at home. What I'd give for two days right now...For so long as you have to get PCR tests within 72 hours of flying and wait for a lab turnaround, last minute bookings are going to be a headache If they were same day, you could catch a 6am flight next day, do 2 days and catch a midnight flight home without having to do another one at the other end. Let's face it, who wants to build in booking and going to a clinic for a Covid test to a 3 day Ibiza weekend ?
Yeah; I think along the lines of "what's the point of the jabs if it gets us nowhere?". I get that we need to get a large % through their second jab which will take months, but they have separated the jabs by 3 months as the first is supposed to be effective enough.going by the social feeds ive read over the last few days what looks to be confusing many is if the vulnerable have been heavily vaccinated at this stage and obviously a lot more down the pecking order will be in 5 months to come how is their any doubt about summer holidays.. im not nearly enough clued up on the whole different variants to get into debates but can't help but think why is it that is this up for question if they have faith in the vaccines? or are they waiting off on people to have their second jab?
absolutely mate, I don't think the MPs help with what does pass their mouths.. contradictions in what they say only days apart, in that case its probably better saying nothing rather than mixed messagesYeah; I think along the lines of "what's the point of the jabs if it gets us nowhere?". So the vulnerable have all had their first jab and are sufficently protected (the government says so)....so why the feck are we all still inside? It's a question that will be asked.
That's gotta be quote of the year nailed!!
I think what is really needed is data on Brazil and SA variants against the oxford vaccine (other vaccines too) for hospitalization and death.Yeah; I think along the lines of "what's the point of the jabs if it gets us nowhere?". We can dream matethat's it pal! think sunny bank holidays in Jesmond (if people of the toon still do that)
Have I missed something?Along with " -You are on mute"
To get a tweak vaccine approved requires a hundred or so volunteers to get it. Then they measure immune response and make sure it is at right level - so pretty quick compared to first time around which was testing the whole vaccine and delivery method to be safe.
Genuinely aff yer barnet mateWhat if it looks and smells like a pandemic killing millions because the government has played you into thinking it looks like that....with science manipulating numbers and main stream media publishing those fearful messages. Cause that's what happened.
Absolute mentalists coming out with this. Bewildering. Why would almost all the governments in the world collaborate to do that? Given the level of financial packages given out, government having to bail out major businesses and sectors of the economy ? Just for some ‘fear porn’ ?
but be so sloppy in their justifications and use of stats the average man on a clubbing forum can foil their grand plan ?
