Don't listen to what the doctor says when you're ill, diagnose yourself!

Don't listen to the person that has spent many years studying this, listen to Elrow because he found someone on facebook that agrees with him.

It's all a conspiracy and every government/healthcare professional is in on it!

Calling people with a different view idiots is a dangerous thing. It makes you automatically devalue their opinion or things they post, while there could be something valuable in it.

Sometimes it's better not to listen to people who spent many years in a field of expertise alone cause they might be blindsided. Law enforcement and detectives can tell you a lot about this. Lots of false convictions happened because a fresh view on the matter was not accepted by experienced old hands in the trade.

Never said it was a conspiracy. It's a mass tunnel vision event, just watch the Sweden documentary I posted for more background.

It's a never-ending story and also and unbalanced image. Just show a stock photo from the ambulance or the ICU unit and it will speak to our imagination. But depressed youngsters? People seeing their lifelong dream collapse? Children not being able to go to school?

I've always argued that there's the lockdown (necessary to control the disease) and how you deal with the fallout of the lockdown. There needs to be good mental health services and a strategy to connect youngsters, financial support for businesses so they can return again, good IT infrastructure so kids can learn at home. If anything, the virus/lockdown has shone a light on how underfunded some essential services are.. That's not an argument against lockdown.

Agree. But let's use scientists from every field that matters.
Not just doctors or virologists. The policy will be one-sided....like it is now.

It's an argument against a too long, hopeless and too strict lockdown.

Edit: only people without kids themselves say good IT infrastructure is the solution for homeschooling. Homeschooling for young kids should not be improved but disappear forever, it harms the children.

Did you even read the implication? The fact they deemed theirselves experts is what made people go into jail for years while not having committed the crime. It's where the psychological terms Tunnelvision and Confirmation Bias come into play. Doctors and government leaders are suffering from it and it's not even strange that they are.

Bad Boys For Life is slightly better than Bad Boys 2, but then I enjoyed the original. Agree about the Michael Bay comments too, his films are for teenage Americans with BANG BANG HERE'S SOME MORE FIRE AND EXPLOSIONS.

On a Covid note - even though I feel I've got off relatively lightly, even just changing the sheets had me gasping for air after, the effect it's had on my breathing even when doing anything mildly strenuous is insane.

Elton, some of our views are the same, some miles apart but as a pissed up Brit right now that is under the influence I applaud your commitment to your own opinion. I would never have the stamina to continue even when I thought I was right!
that alone keeps the topic of debate going even if adds to all our frustration for whatever reason for which ever side we agree with!

Hally your biggest and most informed opposition I massively respect and although you too don’t agree and me sometimes with you both makes this thread worth coming back to!

keep it respect guys and then everyone can debate their shit without fear of speaking their mind!
