Thanks.
And I totally respect Hally too. And others here too.
Some are pushing this too far and I feel this thread is too lightly moderated but perhaps that's because the moderators agree with the majority. But whatever...I'll keep going when I have the time for it.

right, here's a few things I'd like to tell you.

for every supportive DM you get, I get three asking how long we will continue to enable your ramblings on here. by now you should know that my stance is 'as long as it's within the forum rules, free speech' and thus I let you present your views. fact is though, in that entire year this has been going on now, you have a pretty impressive track record of putting up links to very questionable sources, badly researched stuff (remember that piece that compared sweden to switzerland?) to downright false claims (when you said that 40% of PCR tests are false positives). these are just two, the toby young article you posted yesterday is another gold example.

I know you question everything the governments and the main stream media say, and that's totally fine, but the same motto should be applied for anything you read and then post. numerous times over the past few months you had to walk back a statement or actually admit that it wasn't the best article you chose etc. and like it or not, lots of people have either ignored you or stopped taking your opinions/posts seriously exactly because of that, not because of your views as such. lots of people try to have a constructive discussion on here, up to a certain extent you do too, but I encourage you to make a point of seriously checking what you post first.

one more thing - we all know you are not the only one with your stance, but there's no point in repeating it in each second post. and maybe it's just me, but I also feel it's superfluous to put yourself actively into the victim position when your views get attacked (not sure you are actually aware of that). you know it yourself, you are in the minority, so if you want to stand your ground you need to be prepared to take hits. I try to be a fair referee on here, but sometimes you really don't do yourself any favours.

lastly, re 'too lightly moderated', this is what our rules say.

Do not discuss Moderators or other members in public.

Discussions about Moderator actions should be directed by email to the moderator(s) in question, and not discussed in the public forums.

so this is the first time you're borderline breaking the rules. these are our forums and I do my best to be a fair moderator. I actually have edited posts and warned people in the past when they attacked you in an unfair way. but if you want to start calling me out on here, then you're free to go mate. I don't need that.

So a rule is do not discuss other members (and moderators) in public?
And then I break the rules for saying this thread is too lightly moderated? Ok...

as in, if you feel like that, you DM me rather than discussing it publicly
Like I said before, I'm not that easily offended. I don't take this stuff personal either, although it is a shame that an alternative view gets ignored and attacked. I understand the articles with misfit-authors or sources are easy to pick on...however by example when there's an award winning documentary about the Sweden approach, restaurants reopening in Italy, ICU doctors asking questions about the policy..it gets ignored, belittled and snowed under with fun and laughter about the Pantomime Villain ;-)

What I'm saying is...it's easy to paint a bad picture of the one person who dares to speak up against the crowd. Once that's done, you can just ignore everything he/she says. To me, moderating a forum or thread could also be about that...But again, I don't mind and I'm not gonna DM you about anyone or anything. Case closed as far as I'm concerned.

I just requested a name change. Not because I'm turning away from this forum, quite the opposite...I feel like my opinion and my views apparently give reason for people to make me look "bad". Like the pantomime villain ... 🤣
Being a huge fan of the Elrow brand I don't want them to be associated with whatever impression or association people have with my posts on this forum. Not that many of you were regular Elrow visitors anyway but hey! ;) If any of you were, I'm sure we would have a blast at one of their parties when all this is over.

So I still stand by all I've said under that name, but hope my name change gets approved and with this post everyone knows why.

Edit: the Flat in FlatErik is not because I read on facebook that the earth is flat 🙃

It's also easy to paint a picture of people on the forum allegedly 'virtue signalling, gaslighting, being over emotional and buying in to fear porn.
These are also people just daring to speak.

I'm glad the case is closed though.

I went to Elrow at the Vista in Privilege and once at Space, enjoyed very much. You haven't tarnished the brand for ne mate 😉

Thank goodness... 😃
It was just a thought that had been going through my mind for a while now. I mean this forum was all about Ibiza rumors and pre-Ibiza fun for me.
It has become quote political right now...and that's fine...but I didn't want to make a new account or making it seem like I fled or something like that.

Like Stivi rightfully said...I know my 'political' views are not popular here so I'm ready to take a hit on that.
I think once the 'ibiza / party' views can come into play again I will only have to defend why confetti is better than lasers 🙃

(its a special needs type school).

I am guessing this is the reason tbh. She's based in Gloucestershire and they were doing exceptionally well tearing through the priority groups. The response has been to cut their supply back to slow them down until other areas catch up so when the political pressure has shifted to schools they don;t have excess supplies at the appropriate time.

Forget covid, this thread has become a virus.

Lets just find our common ground, @FlatErik none of us like what's going on, we are all going through this shit together.

I firmly believe there is some light at the end of the tunnel now with the vaccines.

We vaccinated 750 people today in our centre, everyone delighted to get it!

Not to piss on the parade but it is slightly concerning that early tests show that the Oxford vaccine offers minimal protection to the South African mutation - this is why mutations are so important and explains why the government are reacting so urgently to try and pin down any outbreaks of it.

In the long term, it shouldn't prove too much of an issue as they are already working on tweaking the vaccine and there's every chance it will end up being a yearly booster with a unique formula each year relevant to any mutations, but that this particular mutation has enabled the virus to mask itself is worrying in terms of supressing the spread of the virus in the immediate future.
