There would easily have been 400,000 dead without any changes to policy or behaviour which is what he said I think
Really? We don't actually know that do we?

No we havent , nothing like this ever, not even close, not in the same country let alone ball park. For you to even suggest that shows you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.Yet the narrative has been....flatten the curve deaths, Covid-ICU numbers and then around summer it was about PCR tests. The narratives changes from time to time...sometimes it's about the R, sometimes it's not. Now it's about the British variant.
Also, we've seen the pressure on hospitals before in 2016 and 2018...before Covid even existed.
There is/was still a big emphasis on PCR tests and, lockdowns and other measures were solely based on this before and after summer.
THE ACUTE HOSPITAL SYTEM WILL FAIL IN CASE YOU MISSED IT THE FIRST 28 TIMES
I think we can be pretty confident.Really? We don't actually know that do we?
For hospitals failing? Mate if you dont trust me on that I'm back to Westworld Season 3 as there is really no.pointWhere's the evidence?

so keen on evidence, until you read the WHO website on mask guidance then you go quiet ??
Masks should be used as part of a comprehensive strategy of measures to suppress transmission and save lives; the use of a mask alone is not sufficient to provide an adequate level of protection against COVID-19.
If COVID-19 is spreading in your community, stay safe by taking some simple precautions, such as physical distancing, wearing a mask, keeping rooms well ventilated, avoiding crowds, cleaning your hands, and coughing into a bent elbow or tissue. Check local advice where you live and work. Do it all!
Appreciated. I honestly think people have no idea how bad it is.My bad. That was me being silly. Wife has made a couple French martinis.......
Genuine mucking about. Apologies
Do you get how that and a few other things you have said about older people could be seen as offensive? The big big majority of people dying from covid are in resthomes, care homes etc....and that's basically where people go to die.
Shush your nonsense. People over 60 should be glad they made it that far. Take one for the team and that good old British war time spirit! ?Do you get how that and a few other things you have said about older people could be seen as offensive?
They only fought facism or rebuilt Europe so we could live the lives we do. But f**k em, I want to go clubbing, they are basically waiting to die anywayShush your nonsense. People over 60 should be glad they made it that far. Take one for the team and that good old British war time spirit! ?
We are 200% capacity. We have the biggest ICU in the UKThere was a guy on ch4 news who works in itu and represents them for England. Said most hospitals at 100% itu capacity and many where running at 200-300% capacity- but with the same number of staff.
If that isn't definition of been f***ed or almost completely f***ed, I'm not sure.
I certainly don't want to have to need the NHS acute care any time soon if I can help it (or anyone I know!)
VAR requiredGetting daggers for being on the phone. I'm out. Catch you all another time......
Me and Elrow by split decision.......
Yeah, it’s too much.Checking out of this thread permanently now, it gives me enormo stress and is more than enough for me. See you all in any other thread than this one. Ta ta.
f*** Covid, love each other and don’t be a dick
Does that meet the "daily exercise" rule though? ??Yeah, it’s too much.
I’m off to jump in some puddles and chase rabbits
It's still a 30% to 40% increase in deaths or am I missing something?
