I don’t actually get what some of you are even saying / what your point is anyway? Is it covid denial ? Or that somehow it is just normal seasonal disease ? If so why are all countries acting this way ?

If so how do you explain what the front line health workers on this forum are seeing for example ? Or are they all part of the big conspiracy ?

Is this conversation about Yeadon, Johnson or Ferguson? Why are you just throwing random names on the forum?

Do your own research. But try and keep it balanced instead of trying to prove something that you want to prove with discredited buffoons. You have just been given several examples of why Yeadon is a crank. According to him, Covid was practically over in September, October, November, kids don’t transmit it, we don’t need a vaccine for it, amongst other things. After reading that, why would believe a word he says?!

As for Johnson, he’s a politician. He’s a career liar. He took us out of Europe based on lies (whether you wanted in or out)

All of this is pointless, a vaccine program is underway and there is light somewhere at the end of the tunnel. So ??‍♂️

I’m taking a break from this thread. I haven’t got the levels of tolerance required. It’s becoming an echo chamber for idiocy with the same guff getting resurfaced and discredited over and over again. The nonsense is getting in the way of something that could be really helpful. Since you ask, I'll give it a go...on the risk of being ridiculed once more, but hey...my reputation here is down the drain already ?

It's a more severe than normal seasonal disease. That explains what 1 front line health worker on this forum is seeing and I feel bad for him, but to be fair..it's his job. Perhaps the UK gov...just as the Dutch gov shouldn't have economized on healthcare that much in the past 10 years or so.

Governments have influenced each other to take draconic measures that are almost impossible to get out of. Once you start lockdowns to relief pressure on healthcare...when is it enough? What is the indicator? It has changed quite a few times. All countries acting this way is like a domino effect / mass psychosis / mass tunnel vision event, where doctors are determining the policy everywhere. All other stuff gets nectlected and solved with virtual money. We're lucky vaccines made it so relatively quickly, it's the big lighting rod so all world leaders can say they saved lives and did the right thing but I highly doubt they did. I think death tolls will be the same with or without lockdowns. Basically I think all measures are not appropriate anymore and the virus will do what a virus does. But our governments will not let us go now until enough people are vaccinated because they are happy with that said lightning rod. Also....it has been scientifically and historically proven it's really hard for governments to give power back to the people once they've taken it from us.

Perhaps some of you hoped I was gonna reply: Lizard people! Bill Gates! No...to me, it's a nasty virus and it does what it does. (Jeff Goldblum voice: Life finds a way.) Not everything in life is manufacturable. Our world leaders have seem to forgotten that and have each other in a strangled grip. "Does Merkel extend the lockdown?, then We extend the lockdown too!" "A British variant you say? Omg, we need stricter rules:". And MSM is the big fire starter for all this. Why would they do that, you ask? Fear sells.

The only country that dared to step away a bit from all this is/was Sweden. They are still not doing that bad btw.

So what’s your opinion in simple terms? I see lots of opinions but not workable solutions or opinions.

for me it is to save lives, protect our healthcare system. If ICU capacity is over 90% and breaking point in areas WITH lockdowns then how would it not be worse without these measures?

Should it be that anyone that gets covid and requires intensive care has to die at home to preserve normal life for the rest and free up healthcare resource for ‘normal’ illnesses ?
And don’t talk about shielding the vulnerable as that isn’t practical in society

The big big majority of people dying from covid are in resthomes, care homes etc....and that's basically where people go to die.
 
About masks...even our own government admitted they don't work. The leading person in the National Institute for Public Health said on national television that effect of wearing facemasks is so incredibly small.....he even said it could have a negative effect cause people wearing masks would not keep 1.5 distance because they would feel safer.

However at one point...there was so much pressure from the MSM, pointing at other countries using masks...our government said, well let's use them anyway cause it can't hurt and they might give a sense or urgency. Laughable.

Again bullshit. If a mask doesn’t help in any way transmitting airborne disease or similar why do medical professions wear them? Or dentists ? Why do N95 masks exist ?
 
Done 60 hours this week! Just nearly chopped my fingers off breaking into my garage door and been told to educate myself on google for having a different opinion on a debate about the effects Covid on society and some bloody bloke from Twitter who also has a different opinion to the mainstream!
Pretty standard week nowadays!

Never said we shouldn't treat old people for anything. But between let's say 75 and 100 people tend to die...right?
Sometimes it's a severe flu. Sometimes it's an outbreak of Noro virus in a care home. 2020/2021 it will be Covid. It sucks for relatives, truly.
But it's just not manufacturable with locking down everything for such a relatively small percentage.

So let's just let all the grandparents and old parents die because it's a small number and doesn't matter !
