378 currently in hospital...that's probably less than one for every hospital in England. Frankly there may be more in today after an accident playing sport over the weekend. The death announcements where at the bottom of the excel file, whoops ?
Below is link to bbc page that shows uk stats. They've corrected last weeks for excel-gate ?
Deaths are low but hospitalization is creeping up. Let's hope it's not going to keep going up. Even if don't die, been in hospital ain't fun.

OK, 378 may be 378 too many, but look at those who have not gone to hospital who could/should have been. Elderly kept in their care homes? Cancer sufferers waiting for treatment?? Here's an example, I need my postrate sorted, and some rather annoying haemmoroids, and I go for a glaucoma test in hospital every six months. The latter two would involve a stay in hospital, maybe lengthy, but I'va avoided seeing the doc and getting myself sorted due to covid and that having priority.
The good news is the prostrate bit, whilst there's slight discomfort, isn't cancer (I've been checked and my PSA levels are high but not overly so) so I can wait.
But I bet there are thousands upon thousands who need minor surgery who aren't being treated right now - so the "oh my gawd there are two people in my hospital with covid" doesn't wash.
Adds; the bloke across the road finally got his knee done a couple of weeks ago, so Hopalong's on the mend!
