The death announcements where at the bottom of the excel file, whoops ?

Below is link to bbc page that shows uk stats. They've corrected last weeks for excel-gate ?

Deaths are low but hospitalization is creeping up. Let's hope it's not going to keep going up. Even if don't die, been in hospital ain't fun.

378 currently in hospital...that's probably less than one for every hospital in England. Frankly there may be more in today after an accident playing sport over the weekend.
OK, 378 may be 378 too many, but look at those who have not gone to hospital who could/should have been. Elderly kept in their care homes? Cancer sufferers waiting for treatment?? Here's an example, I need my postrate sorted, and some rather annoying haemmoroids, and I go for a glaucoma test in hospital every six months. The latter two would involve a stay in hospital, maybe lengthy, but I'va avoided seeing the doc and getting myself sorted due to covid and that having priority.
The good news is the prostrate bit, whilst there's slight discomfort, isn't cancer (I've been checked and my PSA levels are high but not overly so) so I can wait.
But I bet there are thousands upon thousands who need minor surgery who aren't being treated right now - so the "oh my gawd there are two people in my hospital with covid" doesn't wash.
Adds; the bloke across the road finally got his knee done a couple of weeks ago, so Hopalong's on the mend!

Wasn't really talking about the rebuttal in this specific article alone.
There's lots to be found.
And it's really easy to come up with scientific article vs scientific article for every little part of discussion in Covid anyway so that's not my goal anyway. Why would a national expert of health come up with the statement that masks have very little to no use?

378 new admissions per day. It's not very clear it means that though.

True, but surely for every one admission, there's one departure further down the line, the vast majority being recovered, a tiny few sadly die? I never see figures saying "324 new discharges today".

It's so easy to get the discussion over with by laughing about the background of a source or website, while most normal sources are only adding fuel to the fear and are not willing to post any dissent opinion. I'll admit, in hindsight...not the best website perhaps. But the discussion about the usage of masks started before the link and the link was not the base of my point. It was about governments making decisions in a scientific vacuum, even our own national health expert advised against masks.

No one here is burning their fingers on the actual discussion if masks aren't more dangerous because people will loosen up on social distancing...or if masks bring other health issues...
Apparently everyone is eager to show that they wear masks, practice social distancing, staying at home, not complaining, not questioning the policy, not looking at the death rate, not having any clue if lockdowns and other measures work but complying anyway.

Found info, assuming the excel spreadsheet they using is right ?. Just under 2,500

The numbers going to hospital are thike the death figures, nothing like the situation last March/April, so either the virus is less potent, the vulnerable have already sadly died, or that we have simply far more tests and if we'd tested the same number in March the figures of covid carriers would be 10...20 times higher.

10th man rule....

I don't read too much about covid 19 on national tv or elsewhere as it's so depressig but the only thing that really affect my life is business speaking

After 3 colleagues not working with this customer (from march to 1rst july )

Customer told me they carry on my contract jan to march 2021 with other last colleague ,when it used to be 6 months contract carried on since july 2015, my contract should end july 2021, as they are not allowed to hire me more than 3 years (already did a trick to to keep me 6 years, 2x3  )

So business is more an more affected by covid 19 virus , (i can't complain as not working in tourist entertainement industry business ) even if this customer don't carry on the contract i still get paid and my company has to find me other customer (it took 1 month to find another customer to my 3 former colleagues that don't work anymore for this customer)

Did u notice that djs make some paying streaming?
some may be gutted not to have their million €/ a year
i already support one bcn dj , i can't spend more money...

So world gettin in a mess and some people still belive in some nighlife for ibz 2021? ?

Theres a lot more than one in our hospitals and more every day. Not one in one out, wish it was

ibiza update

here's a stat a guy creates every few days. this is the recount after the weekend

F641F098-4EC8-4FB8-B9C4-6DBE738A3D9B.jpeg

as you can see and also as explained previously, ibiza town keeps getting the most new cases (first 'diferencia' field) while the rest of the island looks good now.

total number of active cases going down too (total, second 'diferencia' field).

I'm just waiting for a Leek Curtain to be established around Wales, preventing us nasty covid-carrying english from entering.

"We have to leave the EU because we can't control our borders".

I've personally been impressed by the way Mark Drakeford has dealt with the situation. He's been consistent and measured in his responses. It's more of a case of having to take independent action because he's had Jack all contact from Boris Johnson rather than being xenophobic.

Oh, yes, I get that, and the same with Sturgeon.
If Labour had been in power and doing precisely the same as the Tories, the Tories would be screaming down the chamber.

I think a daffodil curtain would look better. Bring a bit of colour to the doom and gloom of covid :)
