I bow to your wisdom.
You must be flexible, I have trouble tying my shoes these days ?

I think the issues stem from people been naturally more risk adverse or takers on how they see things & approaches.

I'm more risk adverse & worry about policy that is high risk with no real fire breaks to prevent worse outcomes spreading to those who didn't "volunteer" for high risk.

The more conspiracy type stuff I'm like ??‍♂️. If gov conspiracy to control us, really picked a shit poor method & need to hire better sinister people lol.

Anyhow if uk reaches 7k+ cases by end of week, probs gonna be hard to do much to row it back. Full lockdown won't fly, perhaps limited households meeting again.

Ps my personal feeling is Trump will win, by a reasonable margin (electoral college), and it may signal end of the union, or some kind of modern civil war along economic boundaries. Should have gone with Bernie a left "radical" but has energy about him ?‍♂️

I’m not sure about other countries but in the U.K. we hear very little about waiting for a vaccine. In fact a big news item this week was for the capacity of majority of the U.K. it could take until 2024.

From my perspective I think we need regular, easily accessible testing and those with a recent clean test can go into sport stadium, concerts etc.

I’m still uncomfortable with locking away the elderly and vulnerable because it’s inhuman and of course you need people to support them and look after them and then it becomes much further reaching than just those vulnerable

this thread is descending into anarchy. if someone posts something you disagree with just ignore them.

elrowlovers, you have a different opinion to many on here. that's fine, but you are also spamming this thread with your opinion.
just because hardly anyone on here agrees with you, that doesn't mean you should start arguing your point more often. just agree to disagree, like stivi says.

i am not taking sides here. but what i won't abide is the type of cynicism and aggression being shown here by quite a few posters. i understand it's shit right now. believe me, i do. but let's not take that out on each other please.

I personally like seeing everyone’s views and opinions, weather I agree with them or not. I think both stivi and Elrow makes good points for each of their views. Weather I agree or not with either doesn’t matter, it’s interesting to see folks take on things.

What I do know is the world has gone absolutely mad!

Are they hoping the army scare covid away? A bit like in Italy you had to wear a mask outside on the street after 6pm because it only goes on the hunt at night! Like I said world has gone mad!!

Hope everyone keeps giving their views and opinions or what’s the point in the forum?

I think what could possibly be the case is that many people do agree with elrowlovers but can’t be arsed to put It down in writing as they will constantly be shut down by the Covid brigade. And it’s just going round in circles. I don’t agree with everything he says but I can assure you the conversations I’m having with people in the big wide world, would probably agree with a lot of what he says too. I also don’t agree with a lot of what mr Hull says but I respect his opinion like everyone else’s cos it’s just that an opinion. No need to fall out over it.

?

That point about masks after 6pm, I feel like that's being wilfully ignorant slightly - surely the idea is that they believe that is when people are most likely to be socialising, drinking, relaxing their guard around social distancing. They won't have just decided it at a random time, there'll be evidence to support it being the most likely time for transmission.

Full disclosure: I dont know how I feel about covid policy, depends on the day. We really are flying blind, with the only "control" being run by the Swedes. Nobody will know the correct answer until years from now.

However, I do think your comment above is right on point. Many people opt-out of the conversation if they feel their view is unpopular or they will be shouted down. In recent years politics, this leads to previously "un-forseen" outcomes in the real world after the actual vote is tallied (Brexit or Trump, as examples). Polite conversation should be encouraged.

Amen brother

I found the days to be as busy as the nights on my visit (granted I visited just in 3 places within the country) the rule only applies outside as they must be worn inside at all times other than when eating or drinking.

Personally find the rule strange, I get what your saying and they must have their reasons. I personally think wearing your mask after 6pm in streets that we only as crowed or propbably less crowded come to think of it as the day times is absolutely nuts! Based on no science I must admit!!!

Not looking great for those in the North East of the England where we have a few board members. Stricter lock down looming

Keeping fingers crossed that it doesn't get worse in "north east" here (we think the above as North England here ?), as next weekend got planned 1st outing with friends since lockdown. (But what happens, happens?‍♂️)

some colleague at open space , at home because of a cold.
He was coughing as hell a few days ago and among the blokes, that wears mask under nose ? (always see some ,in train and all u want is to slap them, there is some rules, if they don't want to stick to it, better not to wear it at all, with the risk of 135€ fine)

We all make joke he may had the covid19 virus ? but if he had i,t we r feucked as all ITteam have to quarantine 7 days at home ...
i may have the answer once in ibz ,if he had it or not ?

So you’re travelling to Ibiza with the risk that you may have the virus?

i just deleted some posts. the first one was labelling elrowlover's opinions as "shit". the others quoted it which is why i deleted them too.

this is unacceptable. next infraction locks this thread.

remember why we are all here. we would all enjoy an incredible shared experience on the dance floor here in ibiza - no one would care what the other person thinks. we'd all be lost in the music and the party. that's what brings us together. don't let the external situation spoil that.

So you’re travelling to Ibiza with the risk that you may have the virus?
yes ,i'll bring the chinese Kung Flu and spread it to all Ibiza
With people thinking like this ,How about asking ibza government to ban french people to enter ibz because of lot of cases detected last weeks...
Shut the ibz frontiers and i will be happy to stay home too ?, shut all frontiers too ..

There is 100% NO risk as im taking the train to go to office ,even sticking to covid 19 rules...as long i don't have headache, coughin, i may have a go to ibz (answer, friday saturday upon ibz new policies)

As I thought would happen - Ryanair have just cancelled our flights due to COVID... we were due to fly out 1 - 8 October (for the Ibiza marathon which was cancelled for the 2nd time). At least I don't have to try and beg for a refund now, I'll be interested to hear if other flights landing on the island are cancelled? Very sad, I had a teeny weeny glimmer of hope that the air corridor would be opened again and I might, at the very least, get to see Ibiza and my friends on the island this year. Sigh. 2021 it is then. ?
