Inspired on yesterday's demonstration...

i usually like untaltoni's stuff, but in this case I disagree. the majority of people that went yesterday weren't deniers or antimaskers. periodico de ibiza being very tendentious again.

no. check that link further up in the thread where you can see cases in each municipiality. it's really only ibiza town that looks bad. sant joan has almost no cases so why lock it down?
Ah i understand now. I guess all the bars and restaurants are pretty compact there so it was probably inevitable really. At least they’ve had some business over the past month or 2.

some of the PSG players that tested positive after their ibiza holidays might actually have brought it to the island from paris rather than having picked it up here

I think maybe cause he's (@ElrowLovers ) not had people directly he know affected by it, he only sees how negatively its affected his life, which is understandable.

But we need to understand the bigger picture, like Craig said, his missus not seen anyone with covid (which is good in way) but then hally iirc works in hospitals and has seen more than her fair share. Society is something that (should be) bigger than just ourselves ??‍♂️
Definitely saw more than my fair share, staff as well as patients.

I think we need to hold our nerve and see what winter brings. The NHS barely functions in a normal winter, it's a risk we can't take. The very low admissions and deaths compared to numbers infected is positive though

Also I'm a male ?

I've said it before and I'll say it again...governments have totally lost their minds.
Trapped in tunnelvision, confirmation bias and billion-dollar EU vaccin pacts....no country dares to make a U-turn now. They are caught in a form of mutual strangle.

Lockdowns, masks etc have NOT proven to have had any effect on the decreases, all countries show the same graphs.
Herd immunity by both antidotes and cell-immunity seems very near if not already reached, but hey...who cares...we have chosen the vaccin and paid for the vaccin so no changing our minds now.
Masks are definetly working.

Fortunatley I passed my test this week having had contact with someone that tested positive.

We have an outbreak at work coming from a local social club where there are now well over 50 confirmed cases with more incoming from
last Sunday and the bank holiday weekend.

A number of employees have tested positive all at the pub on the Sunday. No further transmissions in work as been wearing masks has been mandated since day1.

The distancing and mask measures are clearly effective.

It’s clear in the NEof England seeing transmission escalate and it is clearly attributed to 16 to 25 year olds socialising in venues not giving a f*** about the guidelines.

Local lockdowns in the post.

What area in the NE of England? It’s quite the assumption you’re making ;)

If the Spanish government is crazy, are the good guys the likes of Trump and Bolsonaro?
I disagree with those two on just about anything, but at least they have been strongly against locking people in their homes. Many other European countries had lockdowns, but didn’t prevent people from going out for a bloody walk (and had much better results than Spain btw..)

You need to separate between wearing masks inside in crowded places with poor ventilation, and wearing masks on the street. While some research is supporting the former (if used correctly, if not reused, etc), the latter is utterly useless and has no basis in science.

Masks indoors clearly. I haven’t seen anyone suggest we need them outside where social distancing can be complied with.

Spotlight needs a North East corner.

Just call it Gods Country ??

We can talk about Greggs and start a campaign to get one opened in Ibiza.
There used to be a bar/cafe in San An Bay that used to advertise they sold greggs products. Never checked out the authenticity though! Can’t imagine a volcanic steak bake in the heat of the Sun owa there ?
