Does anyone have more details regarding the detected cases in Ibiza? The high number really surprises. Are there many tests going on Ibiza and does many people have symptoms / are in hospital?

I don‘t have testing numbers, but yes, there is a lot of testing going on.

we've got 684 active cases (ibiza and formentera together), the vast majority of them are mild or asymptomatic cases and are thus isolating at home. 49 are in hospital, 4 in ICU.

What the heck is wrong with the media on this island? The headline on Periodico is (Google translated) "Deniers of the pandemic demonstrate in Ibiza without respecting the distance or the use of the mask". That's such a crazy one-sided coverage. You can clearly see in the video that many people use masks and keep distance, and how can they know that they are all "deniers of the pandemic"? Are you automatically a denier if you use your democratic right to speak against this crazy government?

I've seen this too. not a great choice of words. there are some deniers in there, but there are also reasonable people in there that just think this is too much. a few friends of mine are there too.

Hear hear.
This is happening everywhere. If you have a different point of view...you're automatically a conspiracy theorist or a denier. Governments gained a lot of power with enforcing the lockdowns and regulations and don't seem to be willing to give that power back to the people. The mainstream media is being used a tool to keep the fear in place and ridicule the protestors.

I dont believe in the 5G nonsense or that Bill Gates is behind this all. I dont deny that there WAS a pandemic. But I do strongly believe the whole world is now trapped in a unrightfull stranglehold by our governments...partly due to unrealistic fear, wrong information, false interpretations, confirmation bias and a billion euro vaccin-pact. Add a few mayors that are power and control hungry...and there we are.
I'm happy to see more and more demonstrations like in Berlin, where even some police officers decided to put their helmets off and walk with the protestors.

Agree with alot of that, take Nicola Sturgeon for example taking Scotlands free movement away with very little reason.. pulling Greece for example when the figures are low and are heading down seems totally unacceptable imo.. and from a women that has said she wants everyone to stay in the Country and spend money at home its hard to see it as anything other that a power trip.. so many Scots will be loosing all kinds of money having to isolate at the drop of a hat and miss out on well deserved holidays 2020 has dishes everyone enough crap

I'm glad England have kept a bit of sense and not removed Portugal this week even though they are getting pressured to

Now I know governments enjoy a bit of a power, but to suggest any governments are enjoying imposing these lockdowns is bizarre IMO.

I think it's not a bizarre thought at all. I've seen a lot of examples of politicians actually using Covid as a tool for political agendas they had for years.
Red light district had to close during lockdown...mayor of Amsterdam who wanted to get rid of this area for a long time suggested to put art exhibitions in their windows. She was just trying to keep them away even after the lockdown. The red light district is now also one of only two areas in the Netherlands where a face mask is compulsory. Are other streets in Amsterdam less busy?

Our minister of Justice comes from a pretty old fashioned Cristian political party and he has been saying for years he wanted to get rid of the full festival agenda in the Netherlands because of the drugs and drug tourists. Do you think he cares if a few organizations go down?

In Rotterdam the mayor is now saying small bars are 'a thing of the past' and we need different ways of entertainment in the future. Say what? People have been enjoying themselves in bars for hundreds of years. Now due to a virus we need to get rid of our culture?

There's always a hidden agenda...even though it's not a planned hidden agenda, I'm not saying they invented a virus for it, but it's goddamn handy now. I can see it in every country. Travel bans means keeping tourism and the money in your own country, lockdowns means more control over citizens, closing bars means less nuisance of drunk people so less law enforcement needed, less festivals means less drugs and a better international reputation.

Besides that you also have the bigger hidden agenda's. Look at aviation. When our national airline almost fell victim to this financial crisis caused by the measures (yes, by the measures) the left-wing 'green' parties where so eager to put climate control measures as a demand for the state support. And our labour-party was the first to say that if the airline gets a loan the higher paid people and pilots must hand in their salaries. It's about misusing powers we, the people, gave them because of our initial fear of the virus.

The power, the attention of media, the manufactured fear, all heads of governments looking at each other right now and perhaps upcoming elections....I am not saying the enjoy the lockdown per se, I'm saying they are misusing it and not willing to take a step back even though it's possible to put a lot of power back into the hands of the people.
