YES MATE! Was amazing! I often think back to this night as well.

We'd been at DC10 earlier on and the thunder storm was breaking out on the way over to Amnesia!

What a night! ? ?
Would have loved to have a beer and chat some sh*t had I known you were there! (although the state I was in, don't know how much sense I would have made... ?)

Here's to the next time we all can let loose and feel like that again!

Anyone know when the air bridge rule is being reviewed? Supposed to be out there for a week from 10-17 of September. Need to push it back a week due to my girlfriends work but can't go if we have to quarantine for two weeks afterwards. Such a mess

It's ad-hoc - personally doubt we'll see much 'positive' changes until they get schools back

The premise they are working on is 20 cases per 100k over a 7 day period puts a country on the quarantine list. That means Spain need to average under 1340 new cases per day(Current average is 4600) to be taken off (They've said they wont look at it regionally), plus i'd say they'd need to have it consistently below that level for a couple of weeks before they'd think about taking a country off. So looking at it statistically it's quite unlikely as last time their 7 day average was at the current rate it took 3 weeks to get below the required level and that was whilst lockdown measures were in place.

Lol great logic there.
And by that Ibiza is f***ed for anyone heading from the uk.

Has anyone returned to the UK from Europe recently? It appears we have to fill in this form
I'd be struggling to print it off as the hotel doesn't have an internet point and I'm not sure there are the facilities in Es Pujols (ie internet cafe) so would they accept the information downloaded to your phone?

Didn't get out forms checked at all when arriving in Italy, nor did we have any checks carried out on returning to the UK (no temp checks, no checking that we'd filled in that info).

I can't believe what's happening at the moment here and in the world.
Hospital numbers are LOW and steady for weeks.
Positive PCR tests have increased for a while (logical when you heavily increase testing) but are slowly declining now. Most experts agree a positive PCR test does NOT indicate a Covid19 infections but our government chooses to push that aside and count them as 'Covid19 Infections'. Most people with a positive PCR test did not even notice they have 'something' (could be Rhino, flu, corona, anything).
So the virus is mild. Hospital numbers are low. Hundreds of IC units free.

And our government keeps holding on to their scare tactics, stating that 'nightlife' and 'events' should prepare for extension of the measures after September 1st.

Well f*** it. I am done with the measures and not ashamed about it because the virus has such a low sick & death rate I cannot feel guilty anymore.

I partied in Ibiza. I partied here in the Netherlands last week, where a seated event turned into a dancing event where we sat down a few times when police drove by the venue and then got instructions from the crew that we could dance again (quite funny), I went to an illegal rave in the woods near Amsterdam and had an amazing night and will continue doing house parties in the coming months. We've been waiting long enough. This is not getting better until our governments have gotten their useless vaccins they've spent millions of euros on.

I will stay away from the vulnerable and keep distance from people in the streets and supermarkets for them. And if I get symptoms I will get myself tested and self quarantine if I have to. But I will not stop living.

Is your government doing the same? They have changed their tune from 'flatten the curve for the IC beds' to 'infections' to 'positive PCR tests' now and are still maintaining their measures or even creating new ones.

What? So people who test positive we don't count as having covid? I don't get what you mean. What other metric should we use to track cases?!?

Also with new German study showing people under 49 who had mild to asymptomatic covid have alarming persistent heart abnormalities and evidence of myocarditis is troubling. Was only a small study that needs more research but worrying none the less. ?‍♂️

Edit: from MRI scans 2 months after recovery

Spot on with that, I think you are echoing what a lot of people are starting to think. We are getting single figure death figures in the Uk now...nearly always over 80 years of age, the youth are starting to rebel now. They (quite understandably) are thinking, why are our futures being stolen, a year of the prime of life being taking away, in order to stop hospitals being overun with older generations with the virus. If I was 20 again, I would certainly be having the f*ck it attitude now as well....

"Most experts agree a positive PCR test does NOT indicate a Covid19 infections "

Where did you hear that ? For me, it is the opposite: If you have tested negative, you may have virus anyway (because the test did not get enough virus at this moment to detect you positive). But if PCR test you positive, sure you are ! Because they detect virus presence.
Nobody knows this virus well, they still study it. Even if you are asymptomatic, you may have symptoms later, and we don't know what and when.
Everybody should be careful about this virus. The truth of one day, is not the truth of other day.

Never mind the flaming youth, when you're early 60's, fit and healthy, every month lost is a staggeringly high % of your remaining life. My attitude is to get out there and use every minute, it won't come back again and also we could be in lockdown again over winter.

Sod it...orgy, my place, 8pm. Masks optional (unless that's your thing). Bring a bottle. And something to drink.

Everybody should be careful about this virus. The truth of one day, is not the truth of other day.

The truth of today is...that the virus is showing very mild symptoms to people under 80 and/or without underlying conditions.
The truth of today is that a positive PCR test only shows you have had A virus, could be any virus, not the coronavirus per se. You can find multiple articles on that. Governments are now actively misusing those PCR numbers to lengthen measures.

Like @2H76 says...it's not even about being in your twenties, thirties, forties, fifties or sixties anymore. You are alive NOW. All that matters is this moment and the weeks without having fun or quality in your life are just passing by while your government tells you to wait for a vaccin.
We are being tricked. I'm not a conspiracy theorist....I do believe the virus is here and was here in a heavier strain but I also believe it's mild now. I don't believe it's a government trick or new world order stuff....but I do believe politicians and governments will loose their reputation and their votes if they would change their direction now. So they will keep us scared with new types of statistics to keep up their strategy so the public won't see the millions of vaccin money has been a waste. Once the majority is injected with a useless vaccin they will say: see, we solved this. And the economic crisis was inevitable. While in reality they solved nothing and the crisis could have been less worse (see Sweden).

In the meantime people have committed suicide out of depression, not being able to be intimate with their friends and family, people have not been able to visit their elderly, people have lost their jobs, the entire nightlife industry is on it's last breath.

We only have a very short time on this globe. And in a few years we will look back and realize this overreaction and politics after that will have stolen a year or two of that short time. And that's terrible.

What?! The specificity of the pcr type tests is very high it's not going to be positive for a common cold. It detects specific genetic sequence of covid 19?‍♂️

? - a unicorn. A one up on "I want a pony" ?

Edit: original antibody tests had low specificity, but the latest version for last few months has a high specificity. (Remember to gov bought those home finger prick tests the proved to be unreliable, was those antibody tests with low specificity)

Might be too little to late for Ibiza this year, but could be good news for next year to allow travel without quarantine.
It's horrible news if they will do the same the Netherlands is planning to do.

If you test positive....(again, lots of articles to be found that PCR test can have false positives such as Rhino virus or other flu viruses instead of Covid).....they will ENFORCE a 14 day quarantine on you.

So you go to Ibiza, come back, test positive (for whatever reason, could be you had Covid before ibiza..could be you had something else whatever) and then you have to go in quarantine in your own country in risk of a huge fine.

Obligatory tests at the airports and quarantine will definitely NOT save Ibiza or tourism in general.
