The amount of petty arguments I've seen today online along the lines of 'support your own country' 'you must be mental to holiday abroad this year' and so on, where in UK has the beauty / the sunsets / alternate nightlife plans / vast amount of eaterys / affordability / stunning beaches / hotel, accommodation by the boat load / good cheap public transport, and great weather all summer ?? Some may well have one or two off that list alone but not them all as a package and these are simply things the holiday sector hasn't got at home .. besides a few places in the south there is nowhere here for the young holiday maker unless you want to fork out a fortune and stay less than a long weekend

A flight from the Northeast to Cornwall is always about 3+ times what a flight to Spain is
I'm off to Brighton next week, and I'm bloody sure I've more chance of bringing Covid back to my town from there, including masks, distancing and whatnot than if I was in Formentera for a fortnight bonking the locals.
But tbh I'd worry about ME passing on Covid to them, I'd seriously like a test before I set off. If there was more testing available we would know where we are.

Experimental Beach at Cap d'es Falco shut down over flouting social distancing restrictions

The Ibiza government sure hates businesses. The unemployment numbers on the island must be scary.

This is getting ridiculous.

Now I was at Experimental a week ago...and yeah there was little to none social distancing there, but I havent seen any other place where it's different. With the whole part about cars parking on the road and serving drinks outside the establishment...it seems they had their eyes on this place and just misused the Covid measures to close it. It's a shame.

Been quite alright about no Ibiza this year, until now as the Timehops have started ? even some of the more obscure nights like a PukkaUp boat party and free entry to Together years ago are feeling much missed right now!

I'm fecked.
Flight with Ryanair in Sept was a nice 0655 getting me to Ibiza and Formentera mid-afternoon. Now I've been e-mailed they've shifted the flight to leaving mid-afternoon, so even if everything ran on time I'll be arriving at la Savina around 10pm or later.
Dunno what to do - could shift hotels back to Ibiza town but lose £60 (and maybe pay more for the new hotel) or stick and hope the flight's on time.
Worry is if it departs very late, then the last ferry's gone.
Bugger.

EDIT: saved. Looked at Balearia (who used to have a late ferry) then Trasmapi - nothing after around 2130, then Pitiusa. Phew! They runferries later than that on my arrival date, until 1am the following day. *Mwah* Medipiti. And they have half-price for old and has-beens.

Are there any rumours coming out of Spain whether they are confident of agreeing a regional travel corridor with the UK?. Was on the news it was a possibility.

yes they still say that they believe it'll come - but it might take some time. don't expect it to happen immediately.
