Just heard on Centreforce radio, Alex P saying all BA flights to Ibiza in July cancelled. Could be bollox....but not good if true
Hmmm, still the low-cost carriers are still expected to fly? Perhaps this is a plan to pull the strings of our pathetic government to get those corridors open. It will cost a lot to carry on furghlowing the BA employees, so this could be a good tactic.

I saw this Latmun Played ! I think there was something like 40 people there. I thought it actually looked pretty class :')
Me and my friends have been discussing this kind of thing, we normally prefer a busy place but we've come around to the thought we'd probably have a great time still and actually interact to similar levels when we have space to turn around and face people ?

Us too! There is nothing worse than being squished to death I love having some space to dance that's why I always go to the front (always space) or the sides of the dance floor ?? I'd happily stand around a table dancing if that's how things are gonna be I just need to see a live set this year don't care who it is anymore haha

What does the decree that was yesterday approved by the Spanish Government stipulate about hospitality businesses like bars and clubs? When shall we expect some more concrete announcement from the big players? Or they are just going to be cancelling their events month by month making it impossible for travelleres to plan anything?

Result, my (June) hotel money is now back on my credit card account, so well done the hotel and booking.com. If Ryanair don't pay up in the next two weeks it will be chargeback time - however I want to fly to Ibiza in October so may use their voucher.

There will be no clubbing as we know it this summer i think it’s safe to say

BA Customer Service say that if flights are available to book on their website it means they are scheduled to fly?

Just because they're available to book definitely doesn't mean they'll fly the routes. They could be using it to intake revenue and then offering vouchers or delaying refunds (exactly what Iceland air did over the past few weeks). Unless the UK gets its C19 infections under control I doubt anyone is getting off that rock this summer.

To be fair BA have been pretty good - refunds generally in 4-5 weeks from my experience. But yeah I think July will be a write off for BA - except maybe some flights from LHR. LCY + LGW don't seem to be in their plans for the immediate future

@stivi thanks for the detailed posts yesterday in the Ibiza updates thread. A couple of questions on that update if thats OK:

I can totally see why the big indoor clubs like Amnesia will struggle to open this summer. But do you have any hope for the outdoor day time events like Zoo Project, or places like Ushuaia?

They seem to my uneducated eye like places that could probably get away with opening under the Spanish rules. And surely it'd be a lot better for them financially to have a partial season of mid-July to mid-October than no season at all.

I have some info, but as usual, I will leave it to the venues to announce first.

Ah OK, thanks, understandable. I'll be crossing my fingers and hoping for the best!

I figure if they're going to have smaller name DJs playing this summer anyway, then they wouldn't need such large crowds to cover the DJ appearance fees. So that might help with any capacity rules. That or maybe there won't be any capacity rules for outdoor events at some stage later this summer...

Do you've any idea when the clubs are likely to announce/confirm their July schedule (or lack of)?

I've gotta wonder if opening at low capacity actually burns more cash than staying entirely closed for some of the super sized venues. I also wonder if a place like Ushuaia or Ibiza Rocks might be able to use the balcony rooms to their advantage as built in social distancing / VIP.
