VE day there was still that level of distancing for the majority of the country ..but the recent scenes are a million miles away from that

same folk that were clapping for our emergency services a few weeks ago and now shoving a massive middle finger in their face

Apparently Brazil is going to stop publishing death tolls from now on. On top of that, with poor countries spotty testing and reporting, it's going to make it hard to know what the real impact of covid is ?

(Eg, Yemen has only reported around 500 deaths, but a report I watched visited a very small enclave which had already dug an extra 900 graves)

Yeah outrage here now as not one news report said it was black teenagers attacking random white kids in a Cork park the last few days and the fools were filming it.. I watched the stabbing one.. fckn sick..

This happened in Cork yesterday? Its still to reach my watsapp circles but I am at the opposite of Ireland to Cork.
Don't want to see it anyway rip

Bollocks!! ? No way it was a minority having them street parties ! And as for the clapping comment remember when all the police/nhs staff/public gathered together on the bridge for weeks? Its been a shitshow from the start but certainly in recent weeks more and more people have had enough and said bollocks to it and you can’t really blame them

Don’t think we’ve seen a significant spike in cases after any of that?

Be interesting to see how things pan out in the next few weeks.

We might find out if this ‘herd immunity’ thing has any clout.

No spikes no mate but thats not what i was getting at. Was more the media showing you that plenty other people (including those that should be setting an example) clearly aren’t keeping to the ‘rules’ so others thinking f**k it if it’s good enough for them it’s good enough for me

It’s no excuse though. Seeing others doing wrong, and then doing it themselves. Lacks morale courage and integrity.

My advice is to thin out the media mate.

They are pure poison and social media is their supplier.

street parties with chairs I'm not from the nicest part of the country and the bike across town home after work I didn't see anything out of hand tbh no your right you can't blame them
 
Just an update; booking.com have confirmed my June hotel is cancelled and will be sending me a full refund in 7 - 10 days. I'm expecting a refund from Ryanair too, but probably sometime in the next 7 - 10 years.

They are probably waiting for some new money to come in before releasing it back, it's no co-incidence that they and a few other airlines are in court today (I think today?) trying to get these quarantine rules thrown out.

Meanwhile, if you fly into Scotland from overseas there are different rules and fines. So if we flew into Scotland, then made our way to quarantine in England - but we broke the quarantine rules - which country would we pay a fine to (if any)?? An I breaking Scots law by not quarantining when I'm living in England? M'lud would have a job working that one out.
