The hotel is closed and unable to off the service paid for. That’s a breach of contract is it not?It isn’t a given though - you can only use that for a breach of contract. Just because you’d have to self isolate isn’t going to win. I’d suggest trying it but don’t count of being successful

I am flying with Level and Vueling. Same parent company as Iberia and BA. My Transat flight with Level piggy backs on Iberia. It's a play on excess capacity and could be wound down at any moment.Iberia recently emailed me to take a voucher with 10% bonus good through end of June 2021. I bought the flights with Avios so I'm assuming I get those back and the voucher is just for my taxes / fees. Iberia is owned by the same group that owns BA so I feel pretty decent my points will still exist its always a worry.
You should see some of the states I have flown back in...straight from pacha pack, change and airport..Sweating and high temperature... Isn't that the Norm flying back from Ibiza
Lets see how they get on with thistomorrow should be interesting...just seeen this on a live ticker

I received email cancellation of this booking on the 04/05. I contacted the hotel again asking for a cash refund and was told.
You cannot have a cash refund as it was a non-refundable booking. However, we can give you a voucher valid this year or next (with an extra 10% added)
I’m not happy about this for a number of reasons
I think I will express my dissatisfaction with their offer and ask for a refund one more time.
- I thought non-refundable meant if I cancelled or did not show then I lose out. Not if the hotel is unable to accommodate me, they can keep my money!
- In the email the hotel replied with they are framing it like they are doing me a favour by offering me a voucher. I don’t see it this way.
- The price I paid included a 25% discount so even with 10% added I’m unlikely to get as good a deal if I were to use the voucher.
- The hotel was refunding April’s cancelled non-refundable bookings (it said so on their website)
I'm booked there as well for early July. I emailed them asking what they're covid cancelation policy this morning, waiting to hear back. If they try to stonewall me or not let me push the credit to next year, I'll initiate a chargeback.I'm booked in the Mare Nostrum on June 7th. As I booked direct with Playa Sol Ibiza they originally said they would change my booking but only within 2020 and I must pay the difference (no refund if it's cheaper).
I've asked them twice if there's any update but they haven't replied to me, the thing is I want to help, I'd take a voucher to re-book for next year, I just don't want to travel this year and it's pointless rearranging in 2020 anyway as there's no guarantee I could go.
Must admit I'm just tempted to raise a charge back from my Credit Card, I didn't want to as the business get's extra fees doing this, I was hoping to help them survive as I stay in either MN or Bossa Flow at least once and sometimes twice every year. I just think their original offer was unreasonable.
