So apparently boris Johnson message tonight has been pre-recorded, and some more recorded today.

Any bets they've shoved out the main message this morning to see how it lands and then "adjust" the broadcast tonight based on that.

Glad they are sure and confident in their plans ?

regardless of the what is announced tonight, The daily update/advice in scotland is still stay at home, although you can now go out for a walk, run or bike more than once a day now...

Ryanair have started selling flights to the island from July 1st.
Can't really see that happening without antibody testing or a vaccine.

I might be wrong with my assessment and I'm happy to hear other opinions, but...

in my opinion, boarding a plane doesn't bode much more risk than getting on a crowded bus or a busy subway.

so...IF the situation gets better continuously in the majority of european countries and thus public life restarts (with restrictions) and public transport gets used again, what exactly speaks against taking a plane and heading somewhere (where the local situation isn't worse of course) on holiday?

just to point out, I'm currently not talking busy clubs. but if people start using public transport again in big cities then I personally wouldn't understand why people couldnt' fly. of course with facemasks and temp checks as an absolute minimum, likely tests too.

and I'm not talking about right now, but as I'd mentioned a few times ago previously, if in a month the situation is much more stable in a lot of european countries (the UK might be an exception to that sadl I have a feeling but hope am wrong), I genuinely think travel will slowly start again.

All so easy isn’t it? Though my advice is if you think Twitter / social media outrage is the real World I’d think again. See EURef result, last election and a continuing 50% polling number for the Tories. All of those I didn’t agree with either BTW. But Twitter is not the real world. We forget every single time.

Yeah , thats a point of view.
They start with flights and we can see how save it will be.
Opinion : If possible it will be a holiday without indoor clubbing and safety measurements .
Possible that you have to sit with mask at Nassau. Strange but better than at home

I fear some countries are jumping the gun a bit in declaring “mission accomplished”.

I don't think so. of course governments want to open up economies ASAP but I think they all exactly know how fragile it is and how little it takes.

Well yes, although with the fact said in uk public transport only would run at 10% capacity to ensure distancing. Can't see flights been financially viable even running at 2/3rds capacity. ?‍♂️.

Who knows really. Guess some countries will try and see and the rest watch.

Ps: let's not forget the 14 day quarantine on your return to the uk. Might be fine if you are wfh, otherwise maybe not.

Any country receiving foreign travellers would be mad not to have some form of quarantine or testing (before travel ideally).

not yet but EU are in talks re dates and measures
If 1st of July is possible..we'll definitely be coming to the island July 17st for a week.
Was able to move my bed & breakfast booking to July...now just waiting for the airlines and governments....
