I've found an airline that has come up with a solution;

The right one is not so bad ...

I can’t see how any form of group travel is different?

Ok , sorry ,everything I read here was not practical , not a solution for mass tourism.
Lets face it : Mass tourism is back when the virus is gone or nearly gone. Cannot see other solutions.
If I have to go to Ibz because business or something I would use the car. At ferry
with cabin or with distance. No plane

On international travel, one possibility is that only under 30s (with no underlying conditions) can travel?. Unlikely to be severe for that age group. Just how much you transmit it if asymptomatic is still a question though.

Plus kinda torpedoes the idea of an older and more affluent tourist in ibiza!
Why under 30? We've seen everywhere in the world people under 50...60 even are unlikely to put pressure on the ic capacity.

Cause the risks increase with every decade increase in age. Friend of a friends uncle in 40s died from it for instance (no underlying conditions). Obesity and other underlying conditions have a big effect. 30+ is when middle age spread starts ?

Or you not for that cause you don't fit in the age bracket ? (neither do i)

Really good numbers coming out of France, Italy and Spain now. Does make me worry that the UK seems to be diverging in that we’re still get daily death tolls of 600+ :(

Yeah I see that too. But that might be because we getting more accurate figures now with community deaths included. Hospital only ones are dipping to around 400. Still too many though.

My mates mum still on a ventilator ?

Quite a lot of them think the annual Clocky Ibiza milfest is still happening!
i know, i see that in the FB group. They’re going to announce next Friday about details for all the events. Won’t happen this year and on the amnesia website, the date was taken off - maybe changed now as i haven’t checked..clockstock at chelmsford was cancelled last week but not by them.. Dave Morales took it upon his self to announce so plenty of bun fights on Thursday ?

Yes I saw that Morales thing, he’s right though??

ibiza thread updated.

the fact numbers are really good and we can go outside again makes outlook on life SOOO MUCH BETTER.

How does the beach look like ? Empty ?

If restaurants can open their terraces , some
beach bars will open I consider ...
Maybe you can have a coffee at Sa Trinxa when you walk at the beach at Salinas.
One or two will open at PdB , too ?

You will have a big benefit in spain because of the hard measures , you will see.

Why exactly?

Numbers in the majority of Europe are looking the same. Wether it has been a hard lockdown, partial lockdown or even no lockdown at all (but with social distancing)...the new infections and death tolls are rapidly declining almost everywhere.
Sure, every country will claim victory because of their own version of the lockdown, but I remain skeptic...
Here in the Netherlands it is looking more and more like the first basic measures (no big events, no handshakes, social distancing and working from home) had the biggest effect.

I guess in a few months (or maybe only in a year) some experts will be able to actually tell what was the best approach.

you still can't go to the beach to sunbathe, but only to walk and run. and in the two daily slots reserved for adults to do so, there are quite a lot of people out. no wonder really after 50 days.

Spain came from a much bigger number of infected / native. This strict measures in spain were effective. Same in Italy.
If it goes like the last weeks , the baleares will be one of the first areas in europe without or with veeery little known infected people. Big success.
But you are right : The biggest effects has maybe social distancing , no mass gathering and so on. But to get the last percents to decrease the cases , the strict measures were the right thing.
Now they can open carefully ( not the big cities in mainland , this will last another weeks ).

The countries with the strictest measures cab open their economy much faster than the other ones.
