Dunno if this has been covered in the clubbing pages, but if the clubs are shut for the rest of the year, will you still go to Ibiza if you can?

I would like to but the flying death pencil between A and B is the massive barrier. Not got time to drive/ferry etc etc Having been infected with chicken pox flying from France to UK and having an Ibiza trip wrecked by it (fleeing home at a few hours' notice before I got too sick to travel) I know how stressful facing down getting stranded abroad is. Plus explaining myself if it happened would be near-impossible. So in all likelihood for those reasons I won't be going this year even if it's allowed. Sad to say !!

Agreed but it's a political stunt to show that something is being done. A cough can travel 6-8 feet in most situations and 16 feet in the extreme. Particles themselves can linger in the air for a long time due to air conditioners and such.
What about a cough timed to the ICE cannons in amnesia ?

I can imagine its rough to catch the chicken pox as an adult. Most parents tried to get their kids infected during elementary school if a sibling/cousin got it (pre-pox vaccine 70/80's). Was it not very prevalent in the UK when you were growing up?

I understand the concern about aircraft - on the one hand the air filters should do their trick, on the other you will be sat next to someone for 2.5 hours....I suppose if there's a link between travelling on aircraft and catching CV they would shut down air travel.

But by the time we can fly again, we will probably all be going to work crushed up on a train or tube?

I've just accepted I'll get it, will enjoy life as much as I can without endangering others/ within what ever parameters governments set.

What concerns me are the scans of asymptomatic peoples' lungs which came out of Austria/Germany. The damage done was absolutely horrendous to the extent it looked very unlikely they could even dive safely. I have reduced lung capacity already from excessive smoking at a young age and many years after that. It still limits me physically and idea of exacerbating that even further in a major way is deterrent.

Honestly, I doubt it. If Balearic islands open up for tourism from Germany this year at all, I guess I would rather go to Menorca (because I haven't been there yet).

I don't have to do clubbing (I even visited Ibiza in winter once and had a trip booked this April), but my 2019 Ibiza vacation was club-free already, so I was looking forward to some serious clubbing this year. So I just don't think I would enjoy it enough to justify the price.

Or maybe I can do both a new beach destination and a couple of days on Ibiza :)

Definitely, we have said if clubbing is off the table it will be a good chance to hire a car and explore parts of the island we have wanted to for ages but never seem to fit around the come downs and hangovers?

Booked for August 24th with the Mrs and Kids for 5 nights so it wouldn’t of been clubs anyway (was hoping to sneak out a night tho)

still hoping that’s on but who knows. And then back out December for a few nights and was planning on Pacha for my 40th.

If we lose the August Trip it’ll make me want to get in December so much more. Fingers crossed

For me personally I think its inevitable I will get it so won't waste time worrying about it. Even without the patients I've been surrounded by staff who had it from day one.

Think you mean symptomatic, as any lung damage would have signs/hospitisation etc.
