Empty Beach . People obeying the lockdown ?
Aha yes Port clarence at the bottom, I used to work on a chemical plant down Seal Sands 5 mins from there before moving over to the Teesport side of town. Yeah smoggies are always down to earth, as are geordiesLife in the North East ?
I love Teesside, very down to earth sort of place.
Massive industrial area, I'm surprised Covid 19 even gets a look in around there with all the smog.
I've got my rigging/slinging tickets, and sometimes get jobs in the shipyards down there when I'm back home. Haverton Hill is an interesting place ?
@AntonioGeordio little vid of Sunday run - lockdown Devon-stylee. I did a 5K run for heroes thing which took me across the estuary to a stop for a cheeky sea dip ? Was a bit late leaving so ran home before the tide came in too much further - with a lot of very steep hills ?
this is not a confirmed thing yet, but it seems the spanish gastronomy industry, after talks, believes that outdoor terraces of restaurants might be able to reopen sometime in the area between the 10th may and the 25th may. https://www.noudiari.es/2020/04/los...zas-podrian-reabrir-entre-el-10-y-25-de-mayo/
of course this will depend on the pandemic situation of the region in question, as I said in the other thread it's likely some areas in spain might be able to open up for things earlier than others, depending on a lot of parameters.
the next few days should help us get some clarity and perspective.
I used to hate Carling/Skol/Fosters as they were so weak and tasteless. But being so low in alcohol, a four pack 440ml every couple of days fills the time, relaxes me a bit but keeps me within the guidelines. Love to take the breath test after to see if I'm under or over the limit!! **Preferably not in a car, obvs!!**Not that long ago, I was trying to cut down to the recommended level of 14 units a week (there must have been a couple of weeks where I actually hit that level), but that is now well out the window. Could drink that over a couple of nights and honestly feel like I'd had nowt.
As an aside, Gibraltar, around 130 confirmed cases, no deaths. Fantastic! Reckon the early Spanish lockdown worked as, of course, flights there are limited from elsewhere.this is not a confirmed thing yet, but it seems the spanish gastronomy industry, after talks, believes that outdoor terraces of restaurants might be able to reopen sometime in the area between the 10th may and the 25th may. https://www.noudiari.es/2020/04/los...zas-podrian-reabrir-entre-el-10-y-25-de-mayo/

The advantage the continent has over the UK is that, at bars for example, they come to you at the table, none of this gathering around the bar. Used to be horrible when, in the UK, everyone stood or sat at the bar smoking. So not only were you behind them trying to get served, you got poisoned in the process. Thank goodness those days are past.this is not a confirmed thing yet, but it seems the spanish gastronomy industry, after talks, believes that outdoor terraces of restaurants might be able to reopen sometime in the area between the 10th may and the 25th may. https://www.noudiari.es/2020/04/los...zas-podrian-reabrir-entre-el-10-y-25-de-mayo/

Interesting ; I recently went to my brothers (dj only) gig, a bottle of red with dinner, then a couple of pints when there, which ran out quickly, full house and only bottles of Bud left (always hated the stuff, even in the US) anyway, still available on the rider so carried on, great night, managed to get a taxi home, fell over in front garden and ripped hood off jacket !I used to hate Carling/Skol/Fosters as they were so weak and tasteless. But if I fancy a bottle of red I stay dry two days before at least. Mind you, when I'm on my hols those restrictions go out the window!! To be fair though, my hols are rarely more than six or seven days, and not a 14-night San An bender. Those days are l o n g g o n e.

Quite please with myself that I managed to not drink last night or on Sunday. It’s been a daily thing pretty much, couple of wines or G&Ts when I shut my laptop to switch off and I fear for my liver which likely resembles a shrivelled walnut at this point!
Also finally had confirmation from Hacienda that they won’t be opening for the dates of my trip. Asking me to postpone to next year for the same rates but have also offered a full refund. They’re unlikely to go bust right?
mind to tell us what dates it were originally?
I was going to be there 26th-30th May for belated honeymoon/anniversary/birthday.
so we would ideally do the same dates next year. I would be happy to move the booking if it helps their business. On the other hand they may drop their prices a little for next year and that place is not cheap so it is decision time.
