Just sticking to wine, beer and cider in the house. Spirits are the slippery slope for me.

same. I do like tequila or hierbas shots when I go out, but also stick to beer and wine at home.

also...I never get a bad hangover from beer or wine (or then I have to drink LOTS of that), but spirits often result in an 'ouch' the day after.

Boris mentioned in his briefing today he will not be succumbing to economic pressure and there will be a longer lockdown

In the short term I think thats best...
I must have missed the bit when he said there’d be a longer lockdown in the current form. As far as I’m aware it’s still set for review on May 7th, where I think there’ll be a SLIGHT reduction in measures.

I suspect in the next week or two, non essential shops will reopen IF they can do so with the measures supermarkets have in place. I also hope that we’ll be able to see family after May 7th.

Trouble with alcohol is you can drink at a level that's potentially damaging your health yet still always feel okay the next day.

But in coffee, rum or brand are nice and you won't drink like you are having cocktails... Whiskey and Vodka usual ends up being dangerous

Truth in this. I have an uncle that is a functioning alcoholic.

Goes about his life no problem, apart from having to be on the bottle all the time.

We were all totally unaware of it until he had a fit on his way to work one day years ago. He'd forgot his half bottle of breakfast vodka.

Plus it's hard to spot these things in Newcastle, big boozing culture.

Whats with the guys who were in qaratine in a spanish brothel in february ? Are they still in ?

Haha fcuking hell, I remember seeing this at the time.

Imagine trying to explain that one to your missus! ? ?‍♂️

'err, I was out for a walk and felt a bit ill. Saw a red light and thought it was a hospital. Went in and met some very attentive ladies, so caring, but they wanted money up front'

It's tough on us singles at the moment m8. I know people who've been getting into webcam stuff.

My missus has a mate at the gym, that is an exotic dancer in the Toon. Not that I ever pay any attention or anything ?

She's taken a hit in the pocket during the lockdown, but is apparently making up her wage by doing online stuff.

Great example of adaptability.

Told my missus she needs to get into this kind of thing, we could be losing out on a fortune here!

She's not so keen as she thinks someone will recognise her from her tattoos.

I think this is very selfish of her in the current situation ?
